With John Cena making his final few WWE in-ring appearances in the coming weeks, he has never said he wouldn’t ever be on-screen again.
Certainly able to serve in a managerial or mentor role to a number of NXT stars, there are a few that could have very important interactions with Cena that could set their course for years to come.
Here are seven WWE NXT stars that could be managed by John Cena.
7. Je’Von Evans

One of the stars in NXT that seems to have made a great impression on the veterans he has encountered is Je’Von Evans.
At only 21-years old, Evans has an in-ring style that seems to defy gravity as he makes fast moving and high flying action look seamless.
Already taking in compliments from the likes of Randy Orton and Sheamus, Je’Von could add a big ally to his list with John Cena.
Already making a massive impression on the veterans he has met and worked with, Je’Von Evans seems poised to have a very bright future in WWE.

6. Uriah Connors

While Uriah Connors is a member of Chase U in NXT right now, it seems that his past experience in indie wrestling under the name Brogan Finlay hasn’t quite been explored.
With WWE NXT fans potential unaware that Connors has a very famous WWE father in Fit Finlay, it could be Cena that brings the character detail to screens.
Giving back to one of the men who had trained him in Fit Finlay, Cena could make the connection on-screen and serve as a legitimizing force for Connors in NXT.
While Connors has failed to catch fire thus far on TV, he definitely has the skills to continue to be a key player in the company for years to come.

5. Tatum Paxley

One NXT star that could use some words of wisdom and support from John Cena may be Tatum Paxley.
The current NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley has come by her acclaim through dedication and work, as well as a recent alliance with Izzi Dame and The Culling.
In what could prove to be an important moment for Paxley, being encouraged by John Cena could be referenced later.
With Izzi Dame potentially looking to flip on Paxley in the near future with betrayal seeming to be on the horizon, Paxley could use the boost from Cena before her friendship and faction turn on her.

4. Charlie Dempsey

Charlie Dempsey has been off of NXT TV as of late, on an excursion to Japan with another up and coming talent.
Appearing Pro Wrestling NOAH along with Harlem Lewis last month, Dempsey next popped up as a part of the NXT stars that were invading TNA Wrestling.
While Dempsey is still solidly a heel, it would be interesting to see him have an on-screen interaction with John Cena.
With Dempsey’s real-life dad William Regal having his own complex history with Cena, it would be a unique opportunity to give a nod to the past, present and future all at once.

3. Kelani Jordan

One star in NXT that has been doing big things in the women’s division is Kelani Jordan.
Recently speaking about the experience of John Cena visiting the Performance Center, Jordan spoke warmly of his impact.
His willingness to answer questions was seemingly valuable to the NXT recruits as they looked to capture some wisdom from the 17-time champ.
Already pulling double duty in NXT as well as the current TNA Knockouts Champion, Kelani Jordan could get an even bigger boost by appearing on-screen with Cena.

2. Ricky Saints

Thus far in the NXT run of Ricky Saints, the former AEW star has had to be fearless in his pursuit of gold.
Coming into the company less than a year ago, Saints has already held the NXT North American Championship and the NXT Championship, involved in top programs with Trick Williams and Oba Femi.
In what could be a true passing of a torch moment, seeing Saints get the nod on-screen from Cena could be an incredible star making moment for the NXT Champion.
Particularly as he continues to face the crucible of Oba Femi, Cena’s support for Saints could be enough to silence doubters.

1. Brooks Jensen

If there is anyone on the NXT roster that could have an impactful and possibly transformative segment with John Cena, it is Brooks Jensen.
Seemingly struggling to find his place in NXT, Jensen was booted from The Culling before more recently returning as a part of NXT invading TNA Wrestling.
However, with Jensen being vocal about how he still has unsettled business with John Cena – looking avenge his dad Bull Buchanan’s demise at the hands of Cena after being his bodyguard – there could be an amazing moment between the pair.
With Cena able to drop a philosophical, wide-ranging and targeted speech to Jensen about overcoming adversity as well as not allowing your history to define you, Jensen could be even be rebooted into a babyface and a play on his wrestling historian personality.
