WWE NXT has its fair share of stars who are ready for the next stage of their career and wanting to get called up to the main roster.

Whenever a NXT talent makes the move to Raw or SmackDown, there is always the chance that that transition can be made with a name change included.

Looking at some stars who might be in line for a call-up, there could be some name changes incoming before they make Monday or Friday nights their home.

Here are seven potential WWE NXT star name changes for the main roster.

7. Brooks Jensen

Brooks Jensen was an NXT star introduced to start off the 2.0 era back in 2021 when he started teaming with Josh Briggs.

Following the end of his partnership with Briggs, Jensen found himself aligned with Shawn Spears, Niko Vance and Izzi Dame in The Culling until the group unceremoniously excommunicated him from the faction.

With Jensen trying to find his place on NXT again, he aligned himself with Robert Stone and the rest of the NXT invaders over in TNA Wrestling.

Brooks Jensen getting a name change might be something WWE considers before a main roster call-up, giving him a moniker that is closely inspired by his father and former WWE star Bull Buchannan.

6. Uriah Connors

Another second generation star who has been finding his way in WWE on NXT is Uriah Connors.

The son of Fit Finlay has showcased his youth exuberance ever since making his NXT debut alongside Kal Dixon for Chase U.

Showing his speed and precision inside the squared circle, Connors may have some potential to make his presence felt on the WWE main roster one day.

Connors taking on the Finlay name when he gets called up would feel appropriate and show how much he cares about honoring his family’s history in the business.

5. Tyra Mae Steele

No one on the WWE NXT roster has the reputation outside of the squared circle quite like Tyra Mae Steele.

The Olympic Gold Medalist has been making her climb up the ladder in WWE first by winning LFG Season 1 and then by making a name for herself on NXT.

Steele, real name Tamyra Mensah-Stock, is a well known athlete after winning the gold medal in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics for women’s freestyle wrestling.

WWE could embrace this past for the NXT star by giving her back her real name to be known as on Raw or SmackDown.

4. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo

Introduced as part of the D’Angelo Family, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo became known as “The Under Boss.”

After growing frustration towards D’Angelo’s leadership, Lorenzo turned on “The Don of NXT” and went to war with his former brother in arms.

In the aftermath of this rivalry, Lorenzo won the NXT Heritage Cup and has started being seen on screen next to his real life fiancee Arianna Grace.

Now part of the NXT invaders in TNA Wrestling, Lorenzo could be getting prepped for a main roster callup that might include a name change to remove any memories of his D’Angelo Family persona.

3. Charlie Dempsey

Another member of the recent NXT invasion in TNA Wrestling who could be in line for a main roster callup is Charlie Dempsey.

Ever since making his WWE debut on NXT, Dempsey has been pegged for big things in his future with his family lineage as the son of William Regal.

Dempsey has displayed his impressive in-ring acumen anytime he’s been given the opportunity in NXT and in several different partner promotions, such as TNA, Pro Wrestling NOAH and AJPW.

Wanting to make his own path in the business, Dempsey could get a name change to embrace the Regal name when the time is right for him to make a permanent move to Raw or SmackDown.

2. Shiloh Hill

WWE LFG's Shiloh Hill

On the November 18 Gold Rush Night 1 special of WWE NXT, WWE LFG Season 2 winner Shiloh Hill made his first appearance on the brand.

In a pre-recorded vignette, Hill introduced his dark web obsessed, intelligent, violent beast of a character that gave fans a glimpse of what’s in store for the young star.

While Hill will surely become a big part of WWE NXT in the coming weeks and months, it may not be very long before he makes his move up to the main roster in the near future.

Hill’s real name is Thunder Justice Keck, which feels like a much more memorable and stronger ring name than his current moniker. This could lead to WWE having Shiloh go by his real name when he eventually gets called up to the main roster.

1. Jordynne Grace

In February 2025, Jordynne Grace made her official WWE NXT debut and has become a top star for the women’s division.

Despite her success outside of WWE as a three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion, Grace has been unable to achieve a lot of success in her new home on NXT.

Since signing with WWE at the start of the year, it was revealed that Grace is being paid main roster money and fans should not expect her on NXT for very long.

Now after nearly a year on the brand, Grace could get called up with a brand new name to give her a more WWE suited moniker as the company starts to truly give her the attention she deserves to become a major star for them.
