Coming off the heels of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, the November 7 episode of Friday Night SmackDown should have some surprising moments throughout.
With new champions being crowned and feuds coming to an end, the plans for the upcoming episode could see some changes to the landscape of the blue brand.
From returning talent to more title changes, there could be any number of surprise plans in store for the fans on WWE SmackDown this week.
Here are seven potential surprise plans for WWE SmackDown.
7. Bianca Belair Returns & Confronts New WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill

Back at WrestleMania 41, Bianca Belair suffered an injury during her match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
With Belair sidelined with that injury since then, a lot has changed for the SmackDown women’s division.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Jade Cargill defeated Tiffany Stratton to win the WWE Women’s Championship.
Considering their past together as tag team partners, this could set up Cargill to be confronted by the returning Belair and set up a long awaited showdown between the two former friends.

There is a plethora of talent on WWE NXT currently that would benefit from being moved to the SmackDown roster.
At the top of many fans’ lists, Jordynne Grace has to be considered one of the best that NXT has to offer right now.
The three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion has been ready for the main roster stage since signing with WWE at the start of 2025.

5. Aleister Black & Zelina Start Their Own Faction

In September, Aleister Black officially aligned with his wife Zelina Vega to help him defeat Damian Priest in a Last Man Standing Match.
Since then, Black and Zelina have been trying to establish their new partnership and looking to gain power on the SmackDown brand.
Knowing that there is strength in numbers, it would be extremely wise on Black and Zelina’s part to recruit more followers to help them with their aspirations.
After his success with the House of Black during his time with AEW, it would make a ton of sense for Black and Zelina to start a new faction on SmackDown.

4. The MFTs Win The WWE Tag Team Championship From The Wyatt Sicks

Ever since Solo Sikoa and The MFTs have returned to SmackDown, they have drawn the ire of several stars on the SmackDown roster, including The Wyatt Sicks.
Setting up a war with the Uncle Howdy-led group, it seems like SmackDown has a stable showdown ready to begin.
With both factions’ numbers and aggressiveness, WWE fans could see a heated and intense battle between The MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks sooner rather than later.
After becoming top contenders for the gold, The MFTs could take the first shot in this war by defeating The Wyatt Sicks for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

3. GUNTHER Returns & Moves To SmackDown

At WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night One, CM Punk defeated GUNTHER to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
During the course of the bout, GUNTHER was dropped face-first onto the commentary table and suffered a busted nose in the process. ‘The Ring General’ has been out of action since then due to a legitimate surgery he already required ahead of the match.
Ahead of John Cena’s final match, reports circulated that GUNTHER has been discussed as a potential opponent for the 17-time WWE World Champion.
GUNTHER returning and moving to SmackDown could give him a new landscape to explore and open the door for a win against Cena to set up a future title showdown with Cody Rhodes down the road.

At WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025, Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena in dominating fashion with six F-5s.
Following this victory, Lesnar has not been seen on WWE programming since then, but he could return looking to recapture the top prize in the company.

Two years since their last clash with one another, Brock Lesnar’s return should drastically shake the landscape of Friday Night SmackDown moving forward.

1. Randy Orton Returns & Turns On Cody Rhodes

Dating back to Cody Rhodes’ first reign as Undisputed WWE Champion, the company has been teasing Randy Orton could eventually turn on his friend and former protege sometime down the line.
After suffering a loss alongside Rhodes against The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on the October 3 edition of SmackDown, Orton has been absent from WWE television.
This could be setting up Orton for an eventual return where he pays off all the teases and turns on Rhodes once and for all.
Orton could become one of WWE’s most feared and intimidating heels by finally betraying Rhodes and going after his 15th world championship reign.
