With WWE WrestleMania 42 only six weeks away, there could be some big names set to return for the Las Vegas event.
From legendary names that could be making triumphant returns to the company to others making their way back into the mix from being out due to injury — there are some intriguing possibilities for who could arrive at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Here are seven returns that could happen at WWE WrestleMania 42.
7. Bron Breakker
One injured WWE star that could make a big return to action in the company at WrestleMania 42 is Bron Breakker.
While Breakker was written out of WWE storyline by an attack he suffered at the hands of the mysterious masked man at the Royal Rumble, there have been several reveals since.
Ultimately after several decoy masked men were revealed, the eventual return of Seth Rollins to be unmasked in the end after attacking Logan Paul in the Elimination Chamber bout suggests that each attacker was an emissary for The Visionary all along rather than one specific WWE character.
Paving the way for a major feud between Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins when he returns, there could be a fascinating intersection of storylines that happens at WrestleMania 42 between Rollins and Breakker and the World Heavyweight Championship bout between CM Punk and Roman Reigns.

6. Paige
One former WWE star that could make their way back at WrestleMania 42 could be Paige.
After departing WWE in July 2022 after her contract expired, she would find herself cleared for an in-ring return to action in AEW where she debuted later that year. She would go on to win the AEW Women’s World Championship at the first AEW All In in London in 2023 before exiting the company in 2025.
With the return of several major Divas era names as of late including AJ Lee and both Nikki and Brie Bella, it may be that Paige will be the next veteran name to make a big in-ring return.
Certainly able to appear in a number of capacities including both to help or harm women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee, there seems to be numerous stories that could write themselves.

5. Santos Escobar
While he has been seen in action in AAA, it could be that Santos Escobar is awaiting a brand new storyline to launch him back on the main roster.
Certainly able to join forces with any number of AAA stars to create their own invasion of sorts, alternatively Escobar could debut a brand new character at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Able to insert himself into the fight over numerous titles including the United States Championship or Intercontinental Championship, it could be a powerful new alliance that brings Escobar back into the fray.
Definitely someone who could partner with Dominik Mysterio in order to lead a brand new era of the Judgment Day — there are several routes to go for the former SmackDown star.

4. Sheamus
After being pulled from action during Last Time Is Now Tournament, Sheamus has been out of action with a shoulder injury since November 2025.
Rehabbing after undergoing surgery, it could be that Sheamus is back with a vengeance in search of the last title in WWE that eludes him.
Similarly to John Cena failing to capture the Intercontinental Championship until near the end of his WWE in-ring career, Sheamus continues to need to win the IC title to complete his WWE Grand Slam Championship.
With PENTA recently besting Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, time will tell who will hold the title at WrestleMania 42 but certainly Sheamus could come knocking for just about anyone on the roster.

3. Roxanne Perez
While Roxanne Perez is out of action at the minute after having a procedure done to remove a benign mass in her back, she could be primed to get back into action at WWE WrestleMania 42.
With Raquel Rodriguez still potentially in the running to face AJ Lee at WrestleMania 42 in the upcoming women’s gauntlet match on WWE Raw March 9, there is yet another opportunity for one of the women of the Judgment Day to have a WrestleMania 42 moment.
Possibly returning to interfere in either Liv Morgan’s match against Stephanie Vaquer or even a potential future bout for Raquel Rodriguez, there could be a big return from Perez on the horizon.
Certainly able to make a big moment with a triumphant return, it would be good to see the young star back in action for WrestleMania season.

2. Chelsea Green
With Jordynne Grace picking up a potential injury on the Road to WrestleMania, it could be that Chelsea Green returns to action at the big event.
One month out from getting her own injury while performing on SmackDown, albeit in Chelsea’s case a chipped bone in her ankle, the former women’s United States Champion has revealed she is healing ahead of schedule.
Possibly back into the fight for the United States Championship ahead of WrestleMania 42, it could be that her big return to action is reserved for a major moment at the event.
As Green continues to gain momentum as a fan favorite — particularly in light of her real personality being shown in juxtaposition to her TV character on the Netflix series WWE Unreal — it could be that the stage is set for a big storyline to commence in Las Vegas with a big return.

1. Chris Jericho
While the mystery continues about what could be next for Chris Jericho, some fans are still holding out hope that he’s poised to re-sign with WWE.
Absent from AEW TV since April 2025, rumors have swirled throughout regarding what moves could be next for the legendary star.
With plenty of fans convinced that he will not only return to WWE but also immediately involved an in-ring feud, perhaps a return from Jericho at WrestleMania 42 could be rolled out in a ruse.
With seemingly a few remaining nods for the WWE Hall of Fame induction class of 2026, Jericho could return outside of the ring to start — but then of course, get dragged back into the mix after leaving Las Vegas.
