There have been new stars arriving on WWE SmackDown over the past year that have caused some shifts in the focus and spotlight of the brand.
From the likes of Rey Fenix and The Motor City Machine Guns to the recent arrivals of Giulia and Fraxiom, these new signings have helped add some much needed depth to every division on the show.
Looking at the free agency market and some talent over on NXT, there could be some more stars who make their way over to the blue brand to further expand on that depth.
Here are seven potential new WWE signings for SmackDown.
7. Trick Williams

Over the past year, there has been no bigger star on the NXT brand than Trick Williams.
Becoming the face of the brand, Williams has consistently garnered the biggest crowd reactions and created an unmatched connection with their fanbase.
Across two reigns as NXT Champion, Trick has showcased why he is ready for the main roster stage and could have been called at any time.
Well deserving of the main roster call-up, Williams might fit the best over on SmackDown where he could play a multitude of roles whether as an up-and-coming babyface or as a heel with a possible reunion with Carmelo Hayes.

6. The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)

At the beginning of May, it was revealed The Righteous requested and were granted their release from All Elite Wrestling.
After two years with the promotion, Vincent and Dutch have a litany of options at their fingertips across the pro wrestling world.
WWE could use The Righteous to further add depth to the SmackDown tag team division that has seen a boost in focus since the start of 2025.
Adding something completely different and unique from the likes of The Street Profits or DIY, The Righteous could be their captivating character work and talking ability to thrust the spotlight in their direction on the blue brand.

5. Lola Vice

Since being signed to WWE in 2022, Lola Vice has quickly established herself as someone who has the potential to shine every time out in the company.
With an extensive MMA background, Vice has been able to blend a hard hitting striker style with her undeniable charisma to be a rising star over on NXT.
Despite not winning championship gold in her first three years in the promotion, many fans assume Lola will one day be a champion and that may happen on the WWE main roster.
Heading to SmackDown would give her the opportunity to be exposed to a larger audience and use her “IT factor” to stand out from the pack even more than she’s been able to on the NXT brand.

4. Tony D’Angelo

Debuting during the NXT 2.0 era in 2021, Tony D’Angelo initially felt like a star from the by-gone era of WWE with his Italian mobster character.
However, D’Angelo has been able to get over with the fans despite the stereotypical persona thanks to hard work, determination and sheer will.
“The Don of NXT” has accomplished so much, winning the NXT Heritage Cup, Tag Team Championship and North American Championship.
After winning everything outside of the NXT Championship in his four years on the brand, D’Angelo feels more than ready for the main roster stage and could be a notable addition to the SmackDown mid-card scene immediately.

Another WWE NXT star who was introduced during the much maligned 2.0 era of the brand was Lash Legend.
Initially viewed as a talent with mic and character skills, Legend has greatly improved over the course of the past three years.
The growth shown by Lash has displayed that she could be a contributor on the WWE main roster.
With her size and charisma, Legend feels like someone who could instant be in the mix on the SmackDown women’s division from the moment she is called up.

1. Stephanie Vaquer

Since signing with WWE in 2024, Stephanie Vaquer has been a stellar acquisition for the company showing more upward potential than anyone on NXT.
Upon her main roster debut on the WWE Raw After WrestleMania 41, it became abundantly clear that “La Primera” was ready for the bigger stage.
While she currently holds the NXT Women’s Championship, it feels just a matter of time before Vaquer makes her way to Raw or SmackDown.
Looking at the current landscape on both main shows, SmackDown feels better suited for what Vaquer can offer where she could drastically boost the talent quality on the brand completely.
