7 New WWE NXT Signings

WWE NXT has undergone some changes as of late with talent heading to the brand as they have undergone a rebuild.

With the likes of Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans and Oba Femi all moving up to the WWE main roster, NXT has added Keanu Carver, The Vanity Project and Sean Legacy to their ranks.

Considering the losses to the NXT brand, it makes sense for some new signings to be added to their roster, whether it be free agents or talent from Evolve.

Here are seven potentially new WWE NXT signings.

7. Leon Slater

At the January 6 New Year’s Evil special of WWE NXT, Oba Femi defeated TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater to retain the NXT Championship.

This marked one of several appearances that Slater has made on WWE television in the past few months.

Whether it be on NXT TV or for John Cena’s Final Match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, “The Youngest In Charge” has proven himself to be someone who the company sees big things for in the future.

Slater joining the WWE NXT roster seems like a formality at this point, especially considering his TNA Wrestling contract will expire later in 2026.

With all of the talent moving from Evolve to NXT, it would make sense if Kali Armstrong was next in line to make a similar jump.

Considered by many fans to be the rookie of the year, Armstrong could take the next step in her career by signing with WWE NXT in the coming weeks.

5. Danhausen

AEW's Danhausen

Signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2022, Danhausen became a popular comedy act for the promotion.

The “Very Nice, Very Evil” star also established himself as a merchandise mover for the company along the way as well.

Fitting the NXT brand with his eccentric character, Danhausen is someone who could be a rising star in WWE.

Danhausen signing with WWE NXT could make him an entertaining act that could climb the ladder a lot faster in this company than he ever did in AEW.

In 2025, reports circulated that Anna Jay was in a contract year for All Elite Wrestling with her contract set to expire.

Signing with AEW in 2020, Jay first established herself as a member of the Dark Order and Jericho Appreciation Society before proving herself as a singles star.

With her experience in the company, Anna Jay showcased poise and confidence that made her someone who could become a breakout star.

Considering everything she has been through in her run with AEW, Jay seems like someone who is ready to take the next step in her young career and could become a featured talent in the WWE NXT women’s division.

Another pair of AEW stars who could be on their way out of the promotion in the near future are Private Party.

The duo of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen came into All Elite Wrestling as young upstarts who were pegged as the future of tag team wrestling.

While they have reached new heights in their careers, the former AEW World Tag Team Champions have been absent from the company’s programming for over a year now.

Looking like they have one foot out of the door and gaining interest from WWE, Private Party feel like future NXT Tag Team Champions and could add a lot to the brand if they decide to sign with the promotion.

Another NJPW star who could be on his way out of the company in the near future is David Finlay.

The former Bullet Club War Dogs leader has reportedly been looking for new options outside of New Japan Pro Wrestling.
