Boosted by their ongoing partnership with WWE, TNA Wrestling could soon pick up some big names in the near future with the recent influx of notable free agents up for grabs.

From former AEW champions to unexpected releases from WWE back in May – there are numerous intriguing free agents that could make a big impact on the roster.

Here are seven new potential TNA Wrestling signings.

7. Danhausen

An AEW fan favorite, Danhausen disappeared from TV screens back in 2023 – but is seemingly on the verge of free agency.

Reportedly Danhausen is set to become a free agent on August 1 – meaning that he could certainly make a surprise appearance somewhere soon.

With a fun character and tons of fan support – Danhausen would be a great snag for TNA Wrestling.

Serving as a possible segue or test launch for Danhausen’s potential in WWE, given the on-going partnership between the companies it could be not very long before the “Very Nice, Very Evil” star makes his debut.

6. Shayna Baszler

Although she was a dominating force in NXT – the “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler failed to launch on the main roster.

Baszler has been spotted backstage at NXT of late – with this being reported that she’s served as a match producer on the brand during her non-compete period – but has now since officially entered free agency.

Commenting on a recent livestream, Baszler expressed potentially being open to more producing in the future but also said it depended on whether or not she was done wrestling.

Adding that she still believed she had more stories left to tell – something that could be accomplished by a run in TNA Wrestling.

5. Duke Hudson

After quietly departing WWE in January 2025, former Chase U faction member Duke Hudson hasn’t made very many independent wrestling appearances.

Participating in a pair of matches in April, he went under both the ring name simply ‘Duke’ as well as a slight variation of his former character name – Duke Hanson.

With a recent social media post, noting that he was “getting the itch to wrestle again”, perhaps Duke will make an appearance in TNA Wrestling soon.

Providing veteran skills as well as charisma and likeability – Duke would be a great get for TNA Wrestling.

4. Braun Strowman

Former WWE star Braun Strowman

One of the more surprising WWE releases back in May was Braun Strowman.

With a generally warm reception from live crowds, Strowman had largely remained a side character since his return to the company in 2022 but was still a regular on TV up until his exit.

After having some notable feuds with the likes of Bronson Reed and Jacob Fatu, it is possible that the “Big S.O.B.” could return to WWE in a part time capacity.

Alternatively perhaps it will be TNA Wrestling that picks up the former WWE Champion, with “The Monster Of All Monsters” having the potential to jump straight into a main event spot.

3. Dakota Kai

WWE's Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai had been involved in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship picture before her release – competing to become the inaugural champion back in January, making her release in May a surprising one.

Perhaps one of the bigger pick-ups that TNA Wrestling could target from the latest crop of free agents, Dakota Kai still seems to have a lot left in the tank.

Potentially poised to be recruited by AEW, Kai could also elect to go the route of TNA Wrestling and become a top star in the Knockouts division almost immediately.

Wherever Dakota Kai pops up next, fans are seemingly eager to support – a big benefit to wherever she lands.

2. Kayden Carter & Katana Chance

Former WWE women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katana Chance could definitely find a spot in the Knockout’s tag team division.

Although their WWE main roster characters weren’t particularly well defined – their team chemistry as well as in-ring abilities are certainly an asset to whatever characters come next.

Able to both remain a team as well as engage in singles competition, the duo could have a big impact.

While both their in-ring futures remain unclear, it could be that TNA Wrestling proves to be the place to see this pair truly shine.

1. Private Party

AEW's Private Party

After dropping the AEW Tag Team Championship to the Hurt Syndicate back in January – Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) disappeared from AEW TV.

With reports that their contracts also are set to expire in July 2025, the duo could find themselves debuting on TV elsewhere as early as next week.

While rumors have circulated that Private Party has garnered interest from WWE – given the on-going partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling – it could go either way.

Boasting a well defined set of characters, a team gimmick including a signature chant and plenty of TV experience – Private Party seem poised to go on to do some very big things outside of AEW.
