WWE WrestleMania 42 logo scored out with Bronson Reed

With plans beginning to be revealed ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, there are several notable names at risk of missing the event entirely.

Whether it be due to real-life injuries or storyline stalemates, it seems possible that some WWE fan favorites won’t end up making it onto the card for the two-night extravaganza.

Here are six WWE stars that may be set to miss out on WrestleMania 42 entirely.

6. Bronson Reed

In the final Elimination Chamber men’s qualifying match on WWE Raw, Bronson Reed suffered a torn biceps which ruled him out for the conclusion of the match with Jey Uso and The Original El Grande Americano.

With reports noting that Reed was actually intended to win the bout and thusly enter the Chamber Match, Jey Uso ultimately won as a result of Reed’s absence.

Reed’s injury was quickly confirmed on-air on WWE Raw with Michael Cole noting that he would be out of action indefinitely.

With injuries plaguing The Vision faction and their intended storyline ahead of WrestleMania 42, fans may have to wait for the next season of WWE Unreal find out exactly how WWE have adapted to this behind the scenes.

5. Charlotte Flair

After failing to qualify for entry into the Elimination Chamber match, there is certainly a fascinating moment of reflection ahead for Charlotte Flair’s character as she could be at risk of missing WrestleMania 42.

Falling victim to some quick thinking from Kiana James, it would be the relative rookie who slid in to capture a pinfall victory over Flair as “The Queen” had Nia Jax in the Figure Eight Leg Lock.

Recently having a compelling face-to-face with Jade Cargill, it could be that there is still a feud brewing between them for WrestleMania 42.

With Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Kiana James, and Raquel Rodriguez currently set for the women’s Elimination Chamber match — there might just be an interesting surprise twist coming at the event.

4. The Wyatt Sicks

One faction that doesn’t have a clear creative path on the Road to WrestleMania 42 are The Wyatt Sicks.

With the feud between the MFT’s and Wyatts possibly wrapping up in light of Uncle Howdy issuing a challenge to Solo Sikoa for a singles showdown — it isn’t clear what might be next for the group beyond this.

While WWE could certainly continue the feud into WrestleMania 42, many fans will be likely hoping for a new creative direction for the WWE Tag Team Championships heading into “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

If this happens WWE may set up a multi-team match given the sheer number of viable tag teams on SmackDown, so it is possible The Wyatt Sicks wouldn’t make the cut.

3. Chelsea Green

After sustaining what she originally believed to be a sprained ankle during a SmackDown match on February 6, it was later revealed that Chelsea Green had broken it.

Described by the star as having been chipped rather than a complex break, Green is hard at work rehabbing and has noted her progress has been surprising.

While she may still appear in a wheelchair and protective boot on TV, there might be a major moment coming for Green on the Road to WrestleMania 42 where she gets the opportunity to continue a beloved wrestling trope.

Much like Linda McMahon and Kevin Nash in the past, Green could reveal that she is healed after dramatically standing up from the wheelchair at WrestleMania 42 or beforehand.

2. Bron Breakker

The Vision faction has been plagued by injury in recent months, beginning with the group’s former leader Seth Rollins suffering a torn rotator cuff during his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel in October 2025.

Just when it appeared as if WWE were building a potential WrestleMania 42 feud between The Vision’s new leader Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins – by way of a masked attacker assumed to be Seth – Breakker was then ruled out also after suffering a hernia that required surgery.

While similar to Reed, Breakker has been noted to be out of action “indefinitely”, but there are reports that he, along with Seth Rollins, is working hard to return to action as soon as possible.

With Seth Rollins’ status also still up in the air for the Road to WrestleMania 42, it remains to be seen which members of The Vision end up making it to the “Grandest Stage of Them All” in Las Vegas.

1. Bianca Belair

WWE star Bianca Belair

After picking up a complex injury at WrestleMania 41 that involved multiple fingers and her knuckles, Bianca Belair has recently undergone surgery in an effort to heal.

Missing nearly an entire year from in-ring action, the WWE women’s divisions have certainly shifted in her time away from the company but there is still one major feud that seems possible — Jade Cargill.

With Jade Cargill picking up the WWE Women’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton back in November, it could be that there is a surprise ahead that could see Bianca getting involved in some way.

While time will tell if Belair will be able to make an in-ring return ahead of WrestleMania 42, she certainly seems set to return to fan favorite status when she does make it back into action.
