Each year over WrestleMania weekend, WWE inducts some of its most legendary stars into its version of the Hall of Fame.
Alongside legendary singles competitors, the Hall of Fame has also honored a number of iconic tag teams.
To date, 14 tag teams have been inducted since its inception in 1993 – not including larger factions.
Here are six tag teams that could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2026.
6. The Mega Powers

WWE paid tribute to its biggest and most legendary star, Hulk Hogan, following his passing over the summer.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the company’s continued celebration of his legacy leads to further commemoration at the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony.
We could see The Mega Powers – the iconic team of Hulk Hogan and ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage – inducted into the Hall of Fame.
While the duo only teamed together between November 1987 and February 1989, they remain one of the most memorable and defining tag teams of that golden era in WWE history.

5. The Hardy Boyz

There is certainly an argument to be made that The Hardy Boyz are the most iconic tag team in the history of WWE.
Wrestling their first match together in 1995, the team are still going strong in 2025 – currently among the top stars in TNA, where they hold the World Tag Team Championship.
Moreover, they maintain an active relationship with WWE, having recently captured the NXT Tag Team Championship – their first WWE titles as a team since 2019.
More than any other team, The Hardy Boyz appear the most likely to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2026.

4. The British Bulldogs

From WWE’s golden era of the 1980s, few teams are more memorable than The British Bulldogs.
The duo of Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid captured the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1986, delivered the best match at WrestleMania 2, and became major stars in Japan through their celebrated run in All Japan Pro Wrestling.
More than that, they helped innovate a hybrid in-ring style that is still seen today, combining British technical wrestling, Japanese strong style and American theatrics.
Undoubtedly worthy of a Hall of Fame induction, the team’s legacy remains complicated by Dynamite Kid’s controversial antics, which could indefinitely delay their entry.

3. Los Guerreros

Eddie Guerrero is already a WWE Hall of Famer, having been inducted in 2006.
It’s important to remember, however, that the biggest run of his career – the one that saw him rise to the top and capture the WWE Championship – was launched through his tag team Los Guerreros alongside his nephew, Chavo Guerrero.
Formed in 2002 on SmackDown, the team ushered in a golden era of tag team wrestling within a company not known for prioritising the division, delivering classic bouts against Team Angle – Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas – Rey Mysterio and Edge, and Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit.
It was during Eddie’s two-year run with Chavo that he showcased the charisma and charm that made him a beloved icon, and for that, Los Guerreros absolutely deserve a place in the Hall of Fame – perhaps as soon as 2026.

2. Hollywood Blonds

The Hollywood Blonds – the team of ‘Stunning’ Steve Austin and Brian Pillman – were one of the standout acts of early 1990s WCW.
Though only a short-lived partnership, teaming from September 1992 until their untimely breakup in November 1993, the duo showcased both men as two of professional wrestling’s most talented performers.
Austin, of course, went on to become one of the biggest stars in wrestling history, while Pillman’s life ended tragically after an overdose while under WWE contract in 1999.
One of the most innovative and memorable tag teams of their era, their Hall of Fame induction feels deserved.

1. Demolition

In terms of memorable tag teams, there are few more iconic in the long history of WWE than Demolition.
Forming in 1987 as a similar act to The Road Warriors – Animal and Hawk – the team featured two musclebound stars with painted faces: Ax and Smash.
They went on to carve their own legacy in WWE, winning the WWF Tag Team Championship on three occasions and having classic rivalries with The Hart Foundation, The Brain Busters, and Strike Force.
Assured a place in WWE’s Hall of Fame, that induction could very well come as soon as 2026.
