6 WWE Factions To Split Up

6 WWE Factions To Split Up

On the 1 July edition of NXT, we saw the final breakdown of the D’Angelo Family, as Luca Crusifino – as widely predicted – turned on the head of the faction, Tony D’Angelo.

There are, however, other factions in WWE with simmering tensions, and we’re likely to see some of these reach boiling point in the coming months.

Below are potential WWE factions that we could soon see split.

6. The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day have been going through a slow and simmering breakdown ever since WrestleMania, when Dominik Mysterio pinned Finn Bálor to become Intercontinental Champion.

Since then, Bálor has seemingly made it his mission to make life low-key difficult for Mysterio — including bringing Roxanne Perez into the faction.

Whether the group fully implodes remains to be seen, but it’s certain that Mysterio and Bálor are eventually set to collide.

Could it all come to a head at WWE’s SummerSlam?

5. No Quarter Catch Crew

In NXT, the No Quarter Catch Crew has been slowly falling apart.

Last month, Myles Borne defeated faction leader Charlie Dempsey to “win his freedom” from the group.

Fellow member Tavion Heights has also recently expressed his desire to leave and has an upcoming match with Dempsey.

The match will likely mark Heights’ exit — and signal the official end of the faction in WWE.

4. LWO

LWO members were part of the standout bout on the recent WWE/AAA crossover show Worlds Collide — with Cruz Del Toro and Dragon Lee teaming with Lince Dorado (filling in for Joaquin Wilde) against Aero Star, Octagon Jr. and Mr. Iguana.

Yet, the group have barely featured in recent months, largely relegated to C-show Main Event appearances.

Rey Mysterio’s injury the night before WrestleMania seemed to kill any momentum the faction had.

Could we now see Mysterio make a clean break from the group upon his return — with the LWO quietly disbanded and members going their separate ways?

3. Alpha Academy

Otis has been missing from WWE programming since May, following a bout with Rusev — reportedly due to injury.

In his absence, Alpha Academy partner Akira Tozawa lost to Rusev on Raw, before being regulated back to Main Event, while Maxxine Dupri has mostly been seen in backstage skits alongside Natalya.

Seemingly going nowhere in storyline terms, we could see the faction quietly disbanded.

This could open the door for Otis to return from injury with a new gimmick.

2. Wyatt Sicks

WWE's Wyatt Sicks

The Wyatt Sicks are currently feuding with the entire SmackDown tag division and featuring on television each week.

Since their introduction, however, they’ve often disappeared for long periods — raising the question: after the tag feud will they simply vanish again?

There doesn’t appear to be a great wealth of creative ideas for the group.

While they arrived in WWE with much fanfare, we could soon see the Wyatt tribute act end with a whimper.

1. Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed & Paul Heyman

Formed the night after WrestleMania 41, Paul Heyman’s new faction of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed has quickly become the hottest act in the WWE.

Admittedly, there’s little sign of it ending any time soon.

However, it seems inevitable that Breakker will eventually split from the group to claim his own spot as a main event star.

While it’s unlikely to happen this year, Breakker’s ascension is an inevitability.
