Long rumored, WWE has now officially announced the return of its all-women’s Evolution premium live event.
The second edition has a lot to live up to, with the original 2018 event receiving high praise from both critics and fans alike.
That show featured major title changes, legendary returns, and a host of outstanding matches – something WWE will, undoubtedly, attempt to replicate on 13 July.
Here are six surprises that we could see at Evolution.
6. Naomi Cashes In Money In The Bank Briefcase
Winning the Money in the Bank briefcase marks a dramatic turnaround for Naomi, who was openly admitted to be contemplating retirement just two months ago.
On the 13 June edition of SmackDown, she made her intentions clear: she’s coming for WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
The show also suggested the continuation of Stratton’s long-running feud with Nia Jax, as Jax took out the champion.
Could a hard-fought victory for Stratton over Jax at Evolution open the door for a Naomi cash-in and a brand new champion crowned?

5. The Bella Twins Reunite
Nikki Bella made her WWE return on the 9 June edition of Raw.
The WWE Hall of Famer was confronted and attacked by Liv Morgan, setting the stage for a high-profile clash between the two at Evolution.
TMZ Sports has since reported that Nikki’s sister Brie is also in talks to return to WWE.
A Bella Twins reunion at Evolution seems likely for Evolution, with a potential WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez seemingly on the table.

4. Giulia Wins US Title
SmackDown’s newest star Giulia made her intentions clear on the 6 June edition of the show, targeting the WWE Women’s US Champion Zelina Vega.
One week later on the show, current champion Zelina Vega responded by calling for a face-to-face confrontation with the Japanese star.
A title match between the two appears inevitable and could be officially announced for Evolution next week on Smackdown.
On the PLE, we could very well see Giulia claim her first main roster championship.

3. Paige Wrestles First WWE Match Since 2017
Paige hasn’t wrestled a WWE match since 2017, when a neck injury forced her into early retirement.
She resumed her in-ring career in AEW in 2022, winning the Women’s World Championship at All In London 2023, before departing the company earlier this year.
With constant speculation around a WWE return, Evolution would be the perfect stage for it.
As a pivotal figure in shifting how women’s wrestling is presented in WWE, her in-ring return on the show would carry genuine significance.

2. Zaria Turns on Sol Ruca
NXT North American Champion Sol Ruca has significant potential, with WWE clearly seeing the 25-year-old as a future top star.
Her tag partner Zaria arguably has just as much upside — a more polished in-ring worker who also possesses undeniable charisma and presence.
On NXT, there have already been hints of Zaria eyeing Ruca’s title, suggesting possible future tension between the two.
Could we see Zaria turn her back on Ruca at Evolution, breaking out on her own in the process?

1. Rhea Ripley Wins Women’s World Championship
Rhea Ripley has made clear her intention to face IYO SKY and reclaim the Women’s World Title that she lost back in March.
Undoubtedly, a rematch between the two is on the horizon, with SKY not having any prominent challengers stepping up to her at present.
At WWE’s all-women’s show, there’s no bigger match than two of the company’s most popular stars going head-to-head.
Could Evolution’s main event see Ripley walk out as champion once again?
