After the surprise return of Ilja Dragunov on WWE SmackDown, there could be returns coming to this week’s Raw as well.
From names who have been out of action for months, to others who are likely to pop back up soon – WWE Raw could be seeing some familiar faces show back up on television.
Here are six more returns that could happen on WWE Raw.
6. GUNTHER
One potential return that could be coming sooner rather than later is that of GUNTHER.
Absent from WWE since dropping the World Championship to CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025, GUNTHER has yet to return.
Being described as out of action “indefinitely” on-screen back in August, GUNTHER was reportedly taking time off for a legitimate nose issue.
With rumors that he may be the ultimate winner of a tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 — “The Ring General” may need to return soon.

5. Ludwig Kaiser
It has been a wild ride for Ludwig Kaiser after parting ways from GUNTHER in WWE. After Chad Gable picked up an injury, Kaiser assumed the role of El Grande Americano and seemingly the rest was history.
However, while El Grande Americano has been in action all over the world — the Ludwig Kaiser character hasn’t seen in-ring action on TV recently.
Now the act has expanded even further with the introduction of Rayo Americano (Pete Dunne) & Bravo Americano (Tyler Bate), which could possibly leave room for a short return from the former Imperium member.
It could be fun to see a “return” from Ludwig Kaiser, but ultimately he is far too good at the El Grande Americano role to stay Kaiser on-screen for long.

4. AJ Lee
AJ Lee hasn’t been back in action in WWE since Wrestlepalooza last month, but one would expect that she will reappear on television some time soon.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that the planned women’s WarGames teams were set to be AJ Lee teaming with babyfaces Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and IYO SKY to take on the heel troop of Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and NXT star Lash Legend.
Potentially renewing their rivalry for another round, the WarGames match would be a great time for Lee & Lynch to face-off yet again.
With a logical next step in their feud seems to be a singles match, potentially Lynch’s Intercontinental Championship will be on the line in the near future.

3. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio picked up a groin injury ahead of WrestleMania 41 in April and has yet to return to action since.
Although he has made on-screen appearances since including in AAA, there hasn’t been any clear indication regarding when Mysterio might be cleared for in-ring action again, with the timeline for his return seemingly being pushed back.
However, recently reports have suggested that Mysterio could be returning in the near future.
While Mysterio is not currently set for a match on the upcoming Survivor Series 2025 despite being held in his hometown of San Diego, California — perhaps a surprise return is in the works instead.

2. Logan Paul
Last in action in WWE when he faced off against John Cena at WWE Clash In Paris on August 31, social media star Logan Paul could be returning soon.
Potentially poised for a return in advance of the holiday season, Logan Paul has a few angles that he could enter into on WWE Raw.
Possibly coming back as a new leader figure for The Vision faction, or, alternatively Paul could also engage in a war with CM Punk or LA Knight.
Potentially able to join the heel team for the upcoming Survivor Series WarGames men’s match, the inclusion would mark Paul’s first time in a WarGames match.

1. Austin Theory
Another rumored entrant into the upcoming WarGames match was a bit of a surprise — Austin Theory.
While Theory has been said to be out of action due to injury, the report came from comments on-screen by former tag team partner Grayson Waller.
Without additional details being known and given the speedy end to the long teased break-up of the A-Town Down Under tag team, it could be that more is soon to be revealed.
Potentially also able to become the latest addition to The Vision faction, Austin Theory could be making his re-appearance on WWE Raw soon.
