6 New WWE Tag Team Signings

6 New WWE Tag Team Signings

WWE has made some great signings already in 2025, with Penta and Ricky Saints debuting on TV and seemingly Aleister Black and Rey Fenix set to join them soon.

While Penta and Fenix will no doubt team together at some point, it appears as if that may not be immediate – making the last big tag team signing the Motor City Machine Guns last Fall.

With a giant pool of fantastic teams to choose from across the free agent market and other companies, perhaps WWE could make more tag team signings in the coming months.

Whether it is AEW, TNA, New Japan or the indies, let us take a look at six new tag team signings that would turn heads in WWE.

6. Youngblood

Oskar Leube and Yuto Nakashima are currently signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling and are on an excursion in Europe, mainly competing for RevPro and wXw.

In the latter promotion, they were able to capture the prestigious wXw World Tag Team Championship, holding them for a staggering 153 days.

Oskar is a giant, standing over at 6’7 and Nakashima is equally as explosive as his giant tag team partner from Hamburg, Germany.

The duo is perfectly suited for a run in WWE, and could be a signing to look out for in the future.

5. Spitfire

Dani Luna and Jody Threat are former two-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions.

In addition, they found success all over the world. Luna is no stranger to WWE, being a former NXT UK signing.

There are currently no reports on their contract status with TNA, but keep an eye out, they may be another TNA act making the jump sooner or later, even if it’s just for a cameo in NXT initially.

Undoubtedly the Women’s Tag Team Division is in need of some fresh faces, especially after WrestleMania 41, and Spitfire could give WWE just what they’re looking for.

4. Sunshine Machine

The highly popular duo of TK Cooper and Chuck Mambo have a bond with the European crowd like few do.

They held tag team titles in RevPro, Progress, GWF and many other promotions all across the continent.

Perhaps they are already on someone’s radar, perhaps they are not interested in a run in the big leagues.

However, they would do wonders – especially in NXT against guys like Fraxiom or No Quarter Catch Crew.

3. Private Party

AEW Tag Team Champions Private Party

At the time of this writing, Zay and Quen – collectively known as Private Party – are still signed to AEW.

On top of that they are AEW Originals, so them jumping ship to WWE does seem highly unlikely.

However, their current status in AEW does not look brilliant. After finally winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship in 2025, their reign ended after only 84 days in January and was quite lacklustre.

Since then, they have not appeared on AEW TV. Maybe they would give a WWE offer a thought if they get one. Again, no evidence this is set to happen, but the longer Zay & Quen are off TV speculation may soon mount.

2. The Rascalz

The former Impact Tag Team Champions Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel are no strangers to WWE programming.

Both of them were essential for Wes Lee’s heel turn in NXT last year, with Wentz going on to feud with his former brother on WWE TV in the months that followed.

Also, Wentz is no stranger to a WWE contract, wrestling under the name Nash Carter between 2021-2022.

The duo are ready-made for a run in WWE, and should they exit TNA it’s difficult to imagine WWE not attempting to sign them up.

1. The Hardys

It seems like a foregone conclusion for Jeff and Matt Hardy to end their career in WWE.

The reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions signed a one year extension to their contracts in November 2024, so it won’t be an imminent re-signing with WWE, but given the NXTNA partnership we may see them make more WWE appearances before their contracts are up.

Whether they opt to sign with WWE is unknown, but the pair have been vocal about their desire to call time on their career in WWE, complete with a well deserved Hall of Fame induction.

Whatever happens, their legendary career deserves to end with one last ride in WWE.
