6 More AEW Stars Who Could Join WWE

Cody Rhodes made a historic return to WWE back at WrestleMania 38, defeating Seth Rollins on the show, and becoming the first major name to jump from AEW to WWE.

However, with a new talent influx over at All Elite Wrestling every few weeks in an effort to maintain a fresh product, he might not be the only one looking for other options.

Tony Khan has already explained that he can not keep everyone, and stars like Joey Janela and Stu Grayson have already seen their contracts expire.

Besides Cody, what other talent could be on the lookout for greener grass and new experiences on Raw, SmackDown or NXT 2.0?

6. Jade Cargill

Obviously, Jade Cargill is a current champion AEW, becoming the inaugural holder of the TBS title.

The woman managed by “Smart” Mark Sterling definitely has all the tools the become a megastar of the industry.

That is probably why WWE has already been showing interest in hiring her.

With endless charisma and an impressive look, there is no doubt she would turn heads in the land of sports entertainers.

5. Luchasaurus

For Luchasaurus, much like it is for Cody Rhodes, this would actually be a return to the promotion.

The current AEW World Tag Team Champion already worked for WWE between 2012 and 2014 under the name “Judas Devlin”.

Before you come after me: Obviously WWE won’t use him as “Luchasaurus” and probably would also take off his mask.

But: His size and strength is what WWE is looking for and he certainly has improved since leaving the company.

The question is what Luchasaurus will do in AEW once his partnership with Jungle Boy has ended? Joining WWE does not seem out of the realms of possibilty.

4. Ethan Page

Ethan Page has only joined AEW last year but is already being moved to the background.

His current tag team partner Scorpio Sky has recently won the TNT Championship and surrounded himself with American Top Team, managed by Dan Lambert.

Will there be any room for someone that calls himself “All Ego”? Page hasn’t even been on TV lately. He had no true chance to show his talents on Dynamite or Rampage yet.

Page can talk the talk, walk the walk, and is not ashamed to go crazy. Maybe he is much more of a sports entertainer than most would like to admit.

3. MJF

MJF is clearly one of the biggest stars in All Elite Wrestling right now.

His most recent feud with his real-life hero CM Punk has once again shown what Maxwell Jacob Friedman is capable of.

Should he re-sign with AEW once his contract is up or join WWE, the promotion he watched growing up?

That is the money question. MJF himself said that WWE will do whatever it takes to secure him.

Just today, reports came out that MJF is currently leaning towards not re-signing with AEW, and he is reportedly considering WWE.

MJF is one of the greatest talkers and heat-magnets the industry has ever seen, despite him being relatively young. In the end, this might all come down to who makes the best offer to him.

2. Wardlow

Much like his former companion MJF, Wardlow is one of the most sought-after stars in AEW by WWE.

According to WrestleVotes WWE is extremely interested to sign Wardlow.

And why wouldn’t they be? Wardlow even said himself a match between himself and Brock Lesnar would be ‘money‘.

Currently, AEW is pushing Wardlow – he recently won their 2022 Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.

But will that be enough to keep him in the company? The AEW fans go crazy for him, but he has the perfect look for a great WWE career.

1. Brian Cage

The most likely man to join Cody Rhodes in WWE must be Brian Cage.

Cage has not appeared on TV since October. He required a surgery last autumn, but has been cleared and working indies for months.

Recently Cage claimed that his contract with AEW was indeed extended, however, he (and his wife) seemed to grow frustrated with his booking over the last several months.

The question remains: Is AEW really the right place for The Machine? During his time there both, his singles run alongside Taz, and work alongside the rest of Team Taz, have both not clicked with fans.

Whatever he decides to do, the agile powerhouse is something that fits perfectly into WWE’s world. Howver, WWE reportedly once told Cage that he was ‘average at best’, so who knows if the interest is there.
