The man they call MJF is one of the biggest stars in All Elite Wrestling.
Every single week Maxwell Jacob Friedman gets the people talking.
Speculation about an eventual jump to WWE was teased during Double or Nothing weekend when the star no-showed a Fan Fest meet & greet, and reportedly had a flight booked out of Las Vegas before the show, which he ultimately didn’t board.
The question if MJF would indeed sign with the competition will most likely be answered sometime in 2024, after his AEW contract expires.
Just imagine he actually signs up with Titan Towers, what dream rivalries might await him?
With MJF being such an interesting character and talented performer it will be interesting to see who he locks horns with first.
6. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is probably one of the most talented talkers in WWE right now. Despite being a heel he has proven in the past that he can also be an engaging babyface.
Owens basically excels at every role WWE is handing to him. It is incredible how well Owens adapted to the WWE style after his celebrated indy career.
Owens wouldn’t just bring out the very best in MJF, much like CM Punk did, he would also be great opposition MJF should get worked up about easily.
The promo battles would be just as amazing as their matches.
5. Roman Reigns
In a recent interview, MJF himself named Roman Reigns as one of his dream opponents if he’d ever sign with WWE.
The Head of The Table certainly is the top dog in WWE and obviously, everyone would want to wrestle the current unified World Champion of the biggest company in the world.
There is more than meets the eye, though. Roman Reigns has shown the world since his return at SummerSlam 2020 what an incredible storyteller he is.
Combined with the hyper-intelligence of Paul Heyman a war with MJF would be something for the ages.
4. Edge
Speaking of storytellers, Edge just might be one of the greatest ones to ever lace a pair of boots.
Edge has recently formed a new stable called “Judgment Day” which includes Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest.
Although it seems odd that MJF would pick a fight with Edge right now, the world may look different in 2024.
And eventually, a clash between two of the greatest seems inevitable.
3. Cody Rhodes
“Hello again”, might be the first words MJF says once he meets Cody Rhodes on WWE television.
Cody was the first star to jump ship from AEW to WWE and has had a fantastic storyline with MJF in the past.
It would make absolute sense to pair them up once more. Cody is a cookie-cutter babyface while MJF is the salt of the earth.
The American Nightmare vs. the ultimate bad boy is certainly a story WWE would love to tell.
2. The Miz
So this is the big one, right? The Miz vs. MJF has got to happen at some point.
WWE’s most hated individual vs. AEW’s most hated individual. The Miz just might be the most underrated guy by fans of all time.
Rarely does the “Awesome One” gets to show the greatness that lies in his game. MJF gets to show it most Wednesdays.
In addition, MJF has been called a “less famous Miz” in the past by CM Punk. A week later Edge admitted that The Miz lives rent-free in many people’s heads on Raw.
This storyline is boiling hot and we need to see it.
1. John Cena
Sadly John Cena is basically occupied with Hollywood movie roles most of the time.
But imagine one of the biggest good guys in WWE history coming out of semi-retirement for one more match – against wrestling’s biggest bad guy.
At heart, we all know how much of a WWE fan MJF is. Battling one of the biggest icons of the industry would certainly be worth a major WrestleMania match.
Long Island’s own, trained by former WWE Superstar Curt Hawkins and current AEW producer Pat Buck, Maxwell Jacob Friedman taking on the 16-time World Champion John Cena.
Talking about a big fight feel. The emotional weight of this feud would certainly turn many heads.
