6 Matches To Be Added To WWE & AAA Worlds Collide

On Friday, September 12, WWE & AAA will hold their second Worlds Collide event from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The show will feature El Hijo del Vikingo defending the AAA Mega Championship against Dominik Mysterio in the main event.

Besides this bout, there aren’t many other matches known for the show next Friday.

Here are six potential matches to be added to WWE & AAA Worlds Collide.

AAA World Tag Team Championships: Psycho Clown & Pagano (c) vs. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) vs. The LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde)

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, Psycho Clown and Pagano defeated Los Garza to win the AAA World Tag Team Championships.

Ever since ending Angel and Berto’s reign, Psycho and Pagano have been trying to further establish their new duo.

Lucha Libre AAA has become known for their multi-man and multi-team matches for titles over the past few years.

Throwing in a WWE contracted team like The LWO into the mix with these two other teams, Los Garza, Psycho and Pagano can bring a brand new dynamic after their showstealer at TripleMania.

Natalya vs. Faby Apache

Natalya added Lucha Libre AAA to the list of companies she has appeared in over this past year.

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, Lady Flammer defeated Natalya and Faby Apache to retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

After the match, Natalya and Apache got into an intense pullapart brawl that led to the referee separating the two.

The two companies should give the two stars a chance to go against one another with Natalya and Faby having a brawl at WWE & AAA Worlds Collide to settle the score.

Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Roxanne Perez)

Since acquiring Lucha Libre AAA, WWE has grown a liking to Mr. Iguana with the green face painted star becoming a popular figure within the company.

At AAA TripleMania XXXIII, The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Mr. Iguana, Niño Hamburguesa and Lola Vice.

In one of the more notable moments of the match, Iguana had his mascot La Yesca on his hand when Balor pulled out his own hand puppet, Demonito.

Running back this dynamic in a different form, The Judgment Day could send Balor and Roxanne Perez on this occasion to face Iguana and Vice in a mixed tag team bout.

AAA Latin American Championship: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. Santos Escobar

At the AAA TripleMania XXXIII PLE, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated El Mesias to win the AAA Latin American Championship.

Prior to this massive win, Dr. Wagner III had suffered some key losses, most notably to Santos Escobar and the rest of Legado Del Fantasma at WWE & AAA Worlds Collide in June.

After Escobar scored a pin on Wagner earlier this summer, it should lead to a singles bout between the two for the Latin American Championship on Friday, September 12.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. facing Santos could make for a spellbinding title match that fans will not forget.

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Lady Flammer (c) vs. Zelina Vega

AAA TripleMania XXXIII saw Lady Flammer retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championships against Natalya and Faby Apache.

Flammer has continued her lengthy reign as the top women’s champion in Lucha Libre AAA.

One WWE star who has not been part of the recent shows with AAA is Zelina Vega.

The former Women’s United States Champion could show up to challenge Lady Flammer at the upcoming WWE & AAA Worlds Collide PLE.

AJ Styles vs. El Grande Americano

On the September 1 episode of Monday Night Raw, Dominik Mysterio defeated AJ Styles to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

This win came thanks to a timely assist and outside interference from El Grande Americano, who delivered a loaded mask headbutt to knockout Styles.

After Americano’s success in Mexico and the recent huge pop Styles received at AAA TripleMania XXXIII, it seems logical for both men to be part of this PLE.

Styles facing Americano will be an extremely engrossing match to add to the WWE & AAA Worlds Collide card despite the lack of Lucha Libre AAA stars involved.
