6 Huge Announcements Tony Khan Could Make On AEW Dynamite

Next Wednesday AEW’s Tony Khan is going to make yet another huge announcement.

Due to the frequency of those announcements, it will become an increasingly large challenge for Khan to deliver.

What will it be this time around? Is it going to shake the industry to its core or will fans start to grow tired?

Whatever it is going to be, it has to carry a huge amount of weight and we are going to look at six announcements that would actually be that huge.

6. AEW Videogame Release Announcement

As reported first by Fightful Select the new targeted release date for the AEW consol game is September 2022.

However, this has not yet been confirmed through any official All Elite Wrestling outlet.

Given that the first fully-fledged videogame in the company’s history is a pretty huge deal it would only make sense to have that announcement on television.

The video game is going to be a milestone in AEW’s young story as it is going to mark the company entering the mainstream like never before.

It is also not known yet if the company itself is going to function as a publisher or if they are working alongside the likes of EA or Sony.

Whatever the announcement around the videogame would be, it would be a step towards ensuring the future.

5. A Big Streaming Deal

Something AEW does not have yet is a propper streaming deal.

While the promotion is airing their newest TV-Shows through the TV channel’s outlets and broadcasts their PPVs through Fite and B/R Live, there is no “Network”.

With Tony Khan’s acquisition of Ring of Honor Wrestling they now have a gigantic library of pro wrestling content a big player like Amazon, Netflix or DAZN might be interested to acquire.

In this era content is king and AEW + ROH equal thousands of hours of that. A deal that huge is surely something worthy of a huge tv announcement.

4. Ring Of Honor TV Deal

“You all have been there. Down in the parking lot. Watching the announcement of All Elite Wrestling.”

Those were the words Tony Khan began his latest huge announcement with. Fast forward to today Tony owns both All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor Wrestling.

While AEW has two TV deals with Dynamite Wednesdays on TBS and Rampage Fridays on TNT, RoH is currently without one.

A TV Deal would help RoH and the characters grow on a weekly basis. If Tony was able to land a tv deal that quickly, it will be interesting to see what channel was willing to agree.

3. A Pay-Per-View In The United Kingdom

Just recently WWE has announced to host a PPV in the United Kingdom for the first time in 30 years.

It was AEW’s plan to bring Fyter Fest to the UK before the pandemic. Time has passed and maybe now is the time to finally come to europe.

It would mark the first time for AEW to come to the British island in general and it would be a historic moment.

Or, and I have to mention that, why not make history and do a PPV in Germany for the first time since WCW hosted “Millenium Final” in Oberhausen 22 years ago.

2. A New Signing

These days AEW likes to rely on surprises with their signings and some would argue that AEW has done enough signings at the moment.

But you know how it is. The influx of new talent in All Elite Wrestling does not seem to stop.

But what signing would be big enough to justify a public tv announcement by the owner of the company?

Cesaro? Johnny Gargano? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

1. AEW x NJPW Supershow

Before Tony Khan took ownership of RoH one of the last great things the company had going for them was its relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

NJPW has stars like Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Minoru Suzuki, with the latter already having appeared on AEW program.

A combined supershow with the top stars of All Elite Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Ring of Honor would probably be the biggest show that has been done in decades outside of WWE.
