With perpetual movement in professional wrestling, there are seemingly always free agents rumored to be signing with every promotion, with a lot of discussion usually centering around WWE and AEW.

However, TNA Wrestling has continued to pick up talented free agents, and with the new WWE partnership, TNA is getting plenty of attention right now.

Here are six former WWE stars that could sign with TNA Wrestling to further boost the promotion’s roster.

6. Indi Hartwell

Recently released WWE star Indi Hartwell has a great connection with fans already but with a lot of unexplored potential in the ring and in her character work.

Just because she has been released from WWE doesn’t mean she’s quitting on her dreams, as she has instead already debuted a new theme song and been spotted training with Mercedes Mone.

While she would be a good pickup for AEW, perhaps the TNA Knockouts division would be more compelling for Hartwell at this point in her career.

What we know for sure is that Hartwell is currently booked to compete in her home country of Australia on March 9.

5. Samantha Irvin

While fan favorite WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin has been clear about her desire to explore opportunities in her music career, she is also seemingly certain she will return to professional wrestling at some point.

In explaining her departure, Irvin revealed that she had ambitions beyond being only a ring announcer.

With TNA Wrestling just picking up another WWE alum for the ring announcing role in McKenzie Mitchell, now is the perfect time for Irvin to make an appearance to try something new.

4. Miro

While Miro is widely assumed to be likely to return to WWE now that he has completed his contractual obligation to AEW, he could easily tell compelling stories in TNA Wrestling.

With the ability to immediately enter as dominant threat, Miro’s star power would arguably carry more weight in TNA Wrestling than it would  in the current landscape of WWE.

While the same could be said for Malakai Black, the difference is that Black could seemingly resume his former character of Aleister Black and maintain the lore of his previous WWE character.

Miro has gone significant distance in separating himself from his former WWE Rusev character, so perhaps TNA Wrestling would be a better launching point.

3. Cedric Alexander

Since being recently released from WWE, another star that has been speculated as potentially heading to AEW is Cedric Alexander.

That is largely in part due to his former Hurt Business teammates Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP excelling as the Hurt Syndicate in AEW.

However, with the trio in such a groove right now, perhaps Cedric Alexander would be able to make a bigger impact joining the TNA Wrestling roster instead.

For the record, Alexander was the man to end current TNA Wrestling X-Division Champion Moose’s undefeated streak way back in 2015, so there could be a built-in story there already.

2. Nixon Newell (Tegan Nox)

Nixon Newell (formerly Tegan Nox in WWE) was initially released in 2021, only to later return to the company and be released for a second time in 2024.

While she wasn’t able to pick up momentum during her spell on the main roster, Newell remains a talented performer.

Should she get a second life in TNA Wrestling, she could really have the opportunity to show complexity in her character that she didn’t have time to do in WWE.

With the TNA Knockouts Division having just lost a talented asset in Jordynne Grace, the locker room could benefit from another accomplished performer joining the roster.

1. The IInspiration – Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay

While they were known as the IIconics in WWE, the pair of Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay haven’t been seen in the company since their departure in 2021.

They did however go on to become TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions shortly after they exited WWE.

After a couple of years out, they revealed that they are heading back to in-ring action, scheduled to face Nicole Matthews and WWE ID prospect, Kylie Rae.

Now that they’re back, there may be no better addition to the TNA Wrestling than this iconic duo.
