With WWE Survivor Series 2025 fast approaching at the end of the month, there will seemingly be some big shifts to the event before showtime.
From Seth Rollins’ injury shifting plans for the titular WarGames game set for the event to new matches yet to be announced, there will be some changes ahead of November 29.
Here are six changes that seem set for the upcoming WWE Survivor Series 2025.
6. Logan Paul Joins WarGames
While the originally reported configuration for which WWE stars were going to be in the upcoming WarGames matches have shifted slightly, one side certainly was going to need an overhaul.
After Seth Rollins got taken out of action due to injury and his Vision faction turned on him, their trio anchoring the men’s heel team for WarGames needed to be swapped.
Interestingly, it has seemed Logan Paul emerged as an additional member to align with The Vision for the WarGames match — despite both he and Bron Breakker wanting to stake claim on the next shot at World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.
With Logan Paul certainly set to bring more media attention and potential for viral moments to the event, the WarGames bout will mark Paul’s first entry into the beloved WWE match concept.

5. AJ Lee & Becky Lynch Out
While the feud between Becky Lynch and AJ Lee was an enticing one when it revved up around Wrestlepalooza, it could be that their showdown is on ice.
With the returns of Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY to WWE Raw to seemingly align with the duo of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss — the team is still possibly looking for another babyface member.
However easily able to fill the void without tapping AJ Lee just yet, it could be that a Ripley led squad ends up bringing on board Stephanie Vaquer.
With team heel able to pick up former foe Nikki Bella after her recent turn, perhaps Becky Lynch will be out of the WarGames bout entirely.

4. John Cena In WarGames
While it hasn’t been confirmed that John Cena will be participating on the babyface side of the upcoming men’s WarGames match — it certainly seems possible.
With Cody Rhodes making an appearance on this week’s WWE Raw from Boston to not only celebrate Cena’s Intercontinental Championship victory but also seemingly align with the other babyfaces on Netflix — it appears Rhodes is in for WarGames.
Originally the babyface troupe was reportedly set to be CM Punk, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu and either LA Knight or Jimmy Uso.
With Fatu potentially still out of action after dental surgery and Reigns stating on-screen he didn’t want to see The Usos “until Christmas”, it could be that Cena ends up making his way into the All-Star babyface team for WarGames for his first and only appearance in the specialty match type.

3. Austin Theory Is Out
Another reported name set for the heel team for the upcoming men’s WarGames bout was Austin Theory.
However with only a few weeks to go until the event, it may not end up coming to fruition as the heel men’s team continues to take shape.
While Logan Paul potentially joining the Brons leaves the team at three, Paul Heyman may be able to call in a favor of Brock Lesnar in order to stack the team at four.
Seemingly far easier for an existing dastardly heel like Aleister Black, Solo Sikoa or even a surprise from Drew McIntyre to round out the team of bad guys — the return of Austin Theory may require more set-up time.

2. Mysterio vs. Mysterio In San Diego
With the recent return of Rey Mysterio to confront Dom on WWE Raw, fans were wondering if perhaps the plans for Cena to face off against Dom at Survivor Series were off in favor of the intergenerational battle for the Intercontinental Championship.
However after Dominik ended up dropping the IC title to John Cena on a recent edition of WWE Raw, it could be that an entirely different battle is coming to Survivor Series.
Since Dirty Dom still holds the AAA Mega Championship, he could be poised to have a battle against his father Rey Mysterio in San Diego at Survivor Series.
Marking an amazing occasion for the return match of the elder Mysterio — who has been out of action since shortly before WrestleMania 41 due to a groin injury — the match could end up being a historic one.

1. No WWE Women’s Championship Defense
While it seemed as though the creative direction was pointing towards the potential return of Bianca Belair — the 2x Women’s Champion and 1x Women’s World Champion has yet to return.
After Jade Cargill dominated the long reigning Tiffany Stratton in a commanding performance to capture the WWE Women’s Championship — fan frenzy kicked into high gear thinking that perhaps Belair was going to be close behind to challenge Cargill.
With their former tag team and partnership potentially with intriguing emotional ground to cover between the characters — it seems that their inevitable showdown may continue to be on pause.
There are currently no reports slating Bianca Belair as imminently returning to WWE, perhaps leading Cargill to pick up new challengers in the coming months.
