5 WWE NXT Stars To Be Pushed On Main Roster

The ultimate goal of NXT, WWE’s developmental brand, is to produce wrestlers who can become fully fledged stars on the main roster.

Not everyone is destined to headline WrestleMania, but NXT — alongside the company’s Performance Centre, where developmental talent learn the ropes — is designed to cultivate performers ready for a main roster push.

Right now, several names on the NXT roster look to be on the cusp of a call-up and a big push on the main roster when they get there.

Here are five WWE NXT stars most likely to receive a push when they land on Raw or Smackdown.

5. Oba Femi

There are few wrestlers in all of pro wrestling who so perfectly fit the mould of what WWE looks for in its top stars than current NXT Champion Oba Femi.

Standing 6’6, with a commanding in-ring presence and natural charisma, Femi has already proven himself effective in WWE’s main-event style, showcasing a powerful big-man moveset built around explosive offence.

What makes this all the more impressive is his level of experience — with fewer than 100 matches under his belt and less than three years in the business.

Clearly on the cusp of a main roster call-up, Femi looks assured of a major push the moment he arrives.

4. Blake Monroe

When WWE signed Blake Monroe from AEW earlier this year, she arrived as one of that promotion’s top and most pushed women’s stars.

Both charismatic and highly skilled in the ring, she has yet to be given the chance in WWE to perform at the same level she did as Mariah May in AEW — and some have questioned why, given her status in WWE’s rival promotion, she was placed in developmental to begin with.

What is clear, however, is that Monroe was brought into WWE with the intention of her being a major star.

A significant push on the main roster feels inevitable once her call-up comes.

3. Ricky Saints

Much like Blake Monroe, Ricky Starks was a major star during his AEW run and looked destined for a big-time spot when he first jumped to WWE.

It’s fair to question why, given his proven in-ring ability and transcendent charisma, he was placed in developmental at all.

So far, he’s shown flashes but hasn’t yet had the opportunity to truly deliver at the same level we saw in AEW, although that may be set to change as attempts to dethrone Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at WWE No Mercy 2025.

A main roster call-up feels inevitable, and with his charisma and talent, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the 35-year-old pushed quickly into the upper echelon of WWE stars.

2. Ethan Page

Of all those currently in NXT, it looks like Ethan Page may be the next to make the jump to the main roster.

Recently, Page has been paired with main roster star and fellow Canadian Chelsea Green – at NXT’s Heatwave PLE, the two teamed up in a mixed tag match against Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele, where they were actually cheered over the babyfaces.

According to WrestleVotes, their pairing — and the way the crowd have reacted — impressed WWE officials backstage, sparking talk of moving them up together as a pro-Canada act.

This partnership all but guarantees Page a push once he lands on Raw or SmackDown.

1. Trick Williams

WWE NXT star Trick Williams

When Trick Williams debuted in NXT in 2021, many immediately pegged him as a future WWE top star, but over the past year, his development seemed to stall — while his charisma was undeniable, his in-ring progress wasn’t matching expectations.

That has changed in 2025, with the WWE–TNA partnership giving the 31-year-old valuable opportunities to work across both companies.

In TNA, he’s pushed as the top star, winning their World Championship, but, more importantly, the extra ring time appears to have strengthened his performances.

Now a competent in-ring worker to match his superstar charisma, Williams looks destined for a big-time push when he finally debuts on the main roster.
