WWE Crown Jewel takes place on October 11, this year coming from Perth, Australia.
As in previous years, the show will feature champion vs champion bouts for both the men’s and women’s world champions, with the ‘Crown Jewel’ title going to the winner of each match.
These bouts will feature Cody Rhodes against Seth Rollins and Stephanie Vaquer taking on Tiffany Stratton. Also confirmed are John Cena vs AJ Styles, and the Kabuki Warriors vs IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
Beyond the official line-up, however, surprises are to be expected – here are five that we could see at WWE Crown Jewel.
5. AJ Lee Captures Intercontinental Title
While four bouts have currently been announced for Crown Jewel, several big names remain conspicuously absent from the line-up.
Among them are AJ Lee – whose return to WWE after a decade away has proven to be a major deal – and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
Feuding since Lee’s comeback last month, fans saw her score the victory over Lynch at Wrestlepalooza during their mixed tag bout, planting the seeds for a future title clash.
It seems highly likely that Lee’s challenge will come soon – and Crown Jewel could be the stage for it.

4. John Cena’s Next Opponent Revealed
John Cena is set to face AJ Styles at Crown Jewel – but after that, he only has four appearances left.
His opponents for WWE Survivor Series in November and his final match on December 13 at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event have yet to be revealed, in addition to possible matches on WWE Raw in Boston and at Madison Square Garden in November.
It’s possible that Cena’s next challenger could announce themselves at Crown Jewel.
Highly-touted future top star Bron Breakker is currently absent from the card, so could we see him attack Cena on the show – setting himself up as Cena’s final opponent?

3. Brock Lesnar Attacks Cody Rhodes
The Men’s Crown Jewel title match – WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Champion Seth Rollins – looks certain to headline Crown Jewel, but could the bout also see Brock Lesnar appear?
On the September 26 edition of WWE SmackDown, Rhodes confronted Paul Heyman – not to discuss Rollins, who Heyman stands alongside in The Vision, but to bring up Brock Lesnar, who Heyman accompanied during his return at Wrestlepalooza.
The segment seemed to foreshadow a clash between Rhodes and Lesnar, suggesting that Lesnar may be Cody’s next major challenger.
With that in mind, it feels highly likely Lesnar will show up at Crown Jewel in the main event, which could mean him costing Rhodes his match against Rollins.

2. The IIconics Appear
Unlike previous years, Crown Jewel will not take place in Saudi Arabia, but instead in Australia.
Consequently, the show is likely to spotlight Australian stars from WWE’s present – notably Rhea Ripley – but perhaps also from its past.
Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics are set to wrestle their first WWE match in five years on the October 7 edition of NXT, as NXT and TNA stars collide in a Survivor Series-style elimination match.
Now firmly back on WWE’s radar, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Australian-born duo make a cameo appearance at Crown Jewel.

1. The Good Brothers Join AJ Styles
Another bout already announced for Crown Jewel is John Cena vs. AJ Styles.
In what is set to be one of Cena’s final in-ring outings, he’ll meet one of his greatest rivals – a man he arguably shared his best WWE matches with.
During their feud, Styles was backed by Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, who debuted in WWE alongside him in 2016 and played a key role in his first win over Cena at Money in the Bank that year.
Given The Good Brothers’ significance in this feud, could we see them return, even if just for a one-off, at Crown Jewel?
