With the first WWE Raw of 2026 set to be a major show, there may be some fun surprises in store for fans on Netflix.
From surprise returns to potential new signings with legendary status — the foundation of WWE could shift by the end of the night on January 5.
Here are five surprises for the first WWE Raw of 2026.
5. Return Of Bianca Belair
Out of action since WrestleMania 41 due to a hand injury, Bianca Belair might be making a surprise return in the near future.
With WWE Raw the perfect home for her big return, her time away from in-ring action has been longer than first expected after her injury proved to be more complex than initially thought.
Although she could be reserved for a Royal Rumble return, it could also be that the EST arrives on the first WWE Raw of 2026 to stake her claim on the coming year.
Admittedly, Belair also seemingly has unfinished business on SmackDown in the form of Jade Cargill — potentially meaning her big return could come several days later on the blue brand instead.

4. Arrival Of Chris Jericho
With the new year could come the arrival of several new WWE stars but perhaps none more anticipated than the potential return of Chris Jericho.
Remaining absent from AEW since April, it seems as though Chris Jericho may actually be poised to sign with WWE in 2026.
While some fans expect that the big return of Chris Jericho to WWE could end up being delayed until later in the month at the Royal Rumble, perhaps there will be a surprise on the first WWE Raw of 2026 instead.
Poised to be a massive return whenever it takes place, all eyes could be on Jericho for the big return on WWE Raw on Netflix on January 5.

3. New WWE World Tag Team Champions
While the current WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are relatively new to teaming together, they have been a successful pair.
However, with both The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) and The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) gunning for them, it could
With Matt Hardy confirming that the Hardy Boyz have re-signed with TNA Wrestling ahead of the debut of the new TNA Wrestling weekly series on AMC, perhaps there could still be a showdown in the future.
Possibly set to have a cross-brand showdown with The New Day and/or The Usos in the future, there could still be a battle to determine the best.

2. Shocking Return Of The Rock
Since The Rock appeared on the very first edition of WWE Raw on Netflix last year, perhaps he could make a shocking return this year.
Understandably staying away during the latter half of John Cena’s retirement tour as to avoid drawing attention to their unfinished business — it could be the perfect time for the return of The Final Boss.
Able to pop-in to set the stage for the major events coming in 2026, while there could be a video appearance instead — fans are certainly always thrilled to see The Rock.
Possibly teasing a future feud with a top star when WrestleMania 43 heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it would be fascinating to see if he would elect to target Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes.

1. Brock Lesnar Interrupts Bron Breakker vs. CM Punk
While fans are expecting an intense bout between Bron Breakker and CM Punk over the World Heavyweight Championship, it may not necessarily result in a finish.
With the likelihood of shenanigans high for the match, it might end up being a major interference from a returning Brock Lesnar that ends up laying waste to both Breakker and Punk.
Both de-railing Bron Breakker’s plans to capture the World Heavyweight Championship and seemingly seeking to injure CM Punk — the bout for the World title at Royal Rumble 2026 could end up being a triple-threat.
While delaying a potential future showdown between Brock Lesnar and Bron Breakker one-on-one, there is certainly to be some interesting twists and turns still to come on the Road to WrestleMania.
