WWE’s first big event in the United Kingdom for a very long time, Clash At The Castle, is right around the corner.
The anticipation is huge and has grown even bigger once Triple H took over creative in the company.
Clash At The Castle is shaping up to be one of the biggest events for WWE this year.
While a lot of big-time matchups already have been announced, big surprises might await as well.
Since the Cerebal Assassin took over, a number of stars have returned – namely Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross & Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, Hit Row, and Johnny Gargano.
It seems likely that Triple H banks on the amped-up British crowd to produce a massive pop for yet another return, so here are five options.
5. Timothy Thatcher
Timothy Thatcher is one of Europe’s finest competitors.
Despite being American, he forged his skills in Europe as much as he did on the American continent.
Thatcher had been sought after for years by Triple H and William Regal during the black-and-gold days of the NXT brand.
Upon his arrival, changes for the brand were already in motion, however, he was able to get a few classics in, for example, against Riddle in the first ever NXT Fight Pit match.
Unfortunately, when NXT was rebranded to its current 2.0 version, there was no home for Thatcher and he was released.
Now that Triple H is back and Vince McMahon is gone, there might be hope for Thatcher to show his craft in front of a big audience again.
At Clash At The Castle, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser are one man down against The Brawling Brutes. Maybe this is the right spot to reunite the three former Ringkampf members.
4. Kassius Ohno
Much like Thatcher, Ohno is American, but made himself a name in Europe rather than the USA.
His return at WWE Clash At The Castle would mark the second time Ohno return to the company.
His last departure came after he was sent to NXT UK, where he left the company in 2020. He’s kept a rather low profile since.
With the start of NXT Europe in 2023 and the new creative juice flowing inside WWE’s holy halls, they might be in need for a hero.
3. Bray Wyatt
Wyatt has no ties to the European wrestling scene.
However, Wyatt’s return has been wanted by fans more than anything else.
Since his departure from WWE in 2021, the name Bray Wyatt constantly keeps resurfacing.
Just recently, Wade Keller of PWTorch said that he thinks a return by Wyatt to the company is ‘likely’.
Whether The Fiend, or Bray Wyatt the cult leader, returns at Clash Of The Castle, it would surely be a moment for the people in attendance.
2. Bronson Reed
Bronson Reed was one of the most unfortunate releases during the pandemic era.
Prior to him being ‘future endeavored’ he looked to be one of the most promising stars of the entire NXT roster.
Now things are different in WWE again. According to Andrew Zarian, Reed’s name has been discussed as someone to bring back.
Reed, who calls himself JONAH outside of WWE, has not been sleeping after his release. After a stint at Impact Wrestling, he had a rather dominant showing in this year’s NJPW G1 Climax.
The question is, who will sign Bronson Reed up first? All eyes on him!
1. Tegan Nox
The most perfect return we could see at WWE Clash At The Castle.
The incredible performer that is Tegan Nox unfortunately had been let go by WWE in 2021.
She had been plagued by injuries, and her main roster run wasn’t what it was supposed to be either.
Tegan Nox finally returning in front of her Welsh friends and family would be a great and beautiful moment.
And that is what we need in wrestling, right? Wholesome and beautiful homecoming moments.
Nox recently said she’s having some visa issues, but if those can somehow be sorted out before Clash at the Castle comes around, it would literally be the perfect time.
