AEW’s All Out pay-per-view is just around the corner, and Tony Khan might have some shocking plans to make the event a night to remember.
Will Tony Khan capitalize on all the negative press AEW is generating at the moment?
Twisting reality into a storyline would probably be one of many ways Tony Khan could make All Out the most talked about shows of this wrestling weekend.
Let’s have a look at what TK might have planned this Sunday.
5. Jon Moxley Retains In Chicago, Abandons BCC
The August 24 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley beating CM Punk in dominant fashion to unify the AEW World Championship.
What exactly tells us it would be any different this Sunday? Chicago expects their hometown hero CM Punk to win the titles back. But what if he just does not do that?
Moxley just might have enough… Enough of the talk that he is the weakest member of the BCC.
This might just be the night where Moxley beats Punk and quits the BCC to be the man that just does his own thing again.
4. The Acclaimed Win The AEW World Tag Team Championship; Swerve In Our Glory Split
A split between Lee and Swerve had surprisingly been teased during the Casino Battle Royal on AEW Dynamite in June.
Since then, the momentum of the dynamic duo has not been on the same level it used to, even after they won the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
The Acclaimed, their challengers, are probably the most celebrated tag team besides FTR in AEW.
It seems likely that The Acclaimed pull out a victory here and Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland move on to singles competition.
3. Kip Sabian Wins The AEW All-Atlantic Championship
Kip Sabian only just returned after spending almost a year out injured – I mean sitting ringside with a cardboard box over his head.
He became the first challenger for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship (besides UK-based wrestlers who’ve challenged for it on Dark). It’s a title Sabian’s fellow countryman Pac only won very recently.
Sabian’s return has been met with quite the positive crowd reaction.
It does not seem to be out of the realms of possibility that Tony Khan goes with a rather unpredictable finish here.
2. The Elite Lose The Trios Championship Final; Kota Ibushi Debuts
This Sunday at All Out AEW is going to crown the first ever Trios Champions, when The Elite takes on Hangman Page and The Dark Oder.
Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are expected to win and become the first men to hold the trios gold in AEW.
But what if that is not the case and the feel-good moment of Hangman, Reynolds and Silver winning the gold reigns supreme?
Post-match, the Jackson Boys could turn on their long-time friend Kenny Omega, disappointed with his performance…
…Only for Kenny Omega’s real best friend in the entire world, Kota Ibushi, to make his debut in All Elite Wrestling.
1. FTR & Wardlow Turn Heel; Reform The Pinnacle With A Returning MJF
FTR will not be in the AEW Fight Forever video game. Wardlow has cooled off quite a bit since his feud with MJF was over.
Additionally, FTR was expected by many to challenge The Young Bucks once again at All Out, maybe even for the AEW Tag Team Championship.
This frustration might be the fuel that the trio needs to reactivate their heel energy, but this time with an even more vicious streak than before.
They could let out their frustrations on Lethal and the Motor City Machine Guns in such a brutal fashion that the crowd turns against them.
Only adding to the brutality, they would then storm backstage and confront Tony Khan, directly before reuniting with their former Pinnacle leader MJF, who is rumored to be returning to AEW soon.
A huge shocking moment, that would turn heads in all of wrestling.
