5 Big Matches WWE Could Still Add To WrestleMania 39

So far, seven matches are announced for WWE’s show of shows, WrestleMania 39.

However, WWE has plenty more dishes to serve when it comes to filling up the two-night match card.

WrestleMania is going to be huge, so let’s take a look at the rest of the matches that will probably end up on the Grand Daddy of them all.

Gunther vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre – Intercontinental Championship

This match has been teased and rumored for a while now.

There is a possibility that WWE still changes plans, but it looks like the former tag team of Drew McIntyre and Sheamus are set to collide with the Ringgeneral.

This match is gonna slap. Some meaty slapping filled with some great European wrestling in between.

Gunther is the real deal and his first big-time match at WrestleMania is going to open up even more eyes.

However, there is a hurdle to take. On this week’s SmackDown both Drew McIntyre and Sheamus were announced to enter the qualifier for the Intercontinental Championship.

Next week’s qualifier is also going to include LA Knight and Karrion Kross. While this could all like it would be leading to a singles match at Mania, it wasn’t actually confirmed that Mania would be where the winner gets their shot, so it could also be a ruse to lead to the three-way.

Kofi Kingston is also scheduled to be part of the five-way qualifier but might be out injured.

The Usos vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens – WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship

Speaking of sagas….

Of course, this is not the match most people hoped for.

Sami Zayn as the WWE Universal Champion was the biggest desire for a lot of fans. But Roman Reigns has moved on to Cody Rhodes.

However, that does not mean this storyline is not great. Sami is struggling with himself, trying to repair his friendship with The Usos AND Kevin Owens.

This psychological chess game most likely is going to lead to a tag team championship match, following the biggest build for a tag team title match in years.

Bobby Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt

Listen. I have no idea what is going to happen here. Nobody has.

Bray Wyatt has gone off the rails and since Brock Lesnar is now busy with Omos at WrestleMania for some reason, this is what we have to deal with.

Bobby Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt. So why not try to save this debacle? MVP has been talking to Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander for ages now – maybe this could be spiced up by making it the Hurt Business vs a Wyatt6 faction, if that’s still a thing?

This has to lead to something eventually right? Have Bray Wyatt show up with Uncle Howdy and whoever he can find, maybe even a returning Erick Rowan, to take on Lashley’s Hurt Business.

Edge vs. Finn Balor – Hell In A Cell Match

This feud must continue! For some reason.

But hopefully, this feud which feels like it has been going to a full calendar year will finally come to a close at WrestleMania.

The final nail in the coffin is most likely going to be a Hell in a Cell match.

But this one has all the potential to be just as good as the previous WrestleMania HIAC matches.

Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio

Triple H turned the utter shambles that was The Judgment Day after Edge was prematurely removed from the group and turned it into gold.

The main reason for that is Rhea Ripley and of course, Dominik Mysterio.

After Dom Dom turned on his legendary father, Rey Mysterio, he ended up on Raw, while Rey moved over to SmackDown.

Rey tried to avoid the confrontation with his son, but Rhea and Dominik used every opportunity to stalk Rey Mysterio over the last couple of months.

Rey Mysterio most likely is going to lose it really soon, which is perfect timing for WrestleMania.
