With WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event fast approaching next weekend, John Cena will bid his final farewell to in-ring competition.
Elsewhere on the card, there have been already several NXT vs. main roster exhibition matches announced with potentially room for a few more.
Here are 5 final matches that could be added to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
5. Randy Orton vs. Myles Borne
While Randy Orton has been out of action in WWE since last being seen in early October 2025, it has been reported that he is not injured but rather lacking a storyline at the minute.
With the perfect opportunity to return for an exhibition match at the Saturday Night’s Main Event set to host John Cena’s final match in WWE — there is a potentially obvious opponent for Orton.
NXT star Myles Borne not only bears a striking resemblance to Orton, he has clearly taken inspiration from his move set.
Able to be an incredibly fun face-off, Orton could also go another round with Je’Von Evans whom he has previously faced on NXT.

4. Charlotte Flair vs. Blake Monroe
While there was already a match announced for the card set to showcase the WWE women’s division with Bayley facing off against NXT’s Sol Ruca — there could definitely be room for another.
An exhibition match that could be added to the card to plant the seeds for a future rivalry down the road could be to see Blake Monroe take on a major name on the main roster.
Charlotte Flair could be the perfect opponent, appearing alongside fellow veteran fan favorite Alexa Bliss — it could be an amazing launch for the former AEW Women’s World Champion Monroe (fka as Mariah May) to the main roster audience.
Bringing an opportunity to showcase and highlight a little bit of of sports entertainment pageantry on the big night which will surely have new eyes and lapsed fans alike tuning in, would be a nice touch for the farewell to Cena.

3. Liv Morgan vs. Jordynne Grace
A bout that could be used as the vehicle for Grace’s call-up to the main roster, naturally the Judgment Day wouldn’t be able to help but to interfere.
However, Grace could certainly pick up the support of some existing main roster talent who could run out to help out including WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer after her recent run-ins with the squad.
Able to seamlessly move into a WWE Raw feud, this particular match could end up being a major storyline moving forward into WrestleMania 42 season.
Looking to reclaim her WWE Women’s World Championship, Liv Morgan could certainly jumpstart her path of destruction at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

2. AJ Styles vs. Trick Williams
With John Cena’s final bout set for the event, WWE veteran AJ Styles would be a great addition to the event.
Definitely able to take on a top talent from NXT like Trick Williams, the exhibition match could end up serving a very valuable purpose.
Another bout on the card that could potentially segue into a main roster call-up, Carmelo Hayes could certainly make an appearance with Williams — since AJ Styles continues to hold the WWE World Tag Team Championship with Dragon Lee and may have back-up as well.
Able to nicely move into a potential tag team match for the WWE World Tag Team titles, there could be some call-ups that end up coming forward from the event headlined by John Cena’s last match.

1. Omos vs. Oba Femi
While currently the card notes that the Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 will see a match between Cody Rhodes and the NXT Champion — the winner has yet to be decided.
Heading into NXT Deadline, Ricky Saints continues to hold the NXT Championship but set to face off against former champion Oba Femi — it could end up being either man to face Cody.
However, if Saints were to retain the title and move on to face Cody Rhodes — there could be the unique opportunity for a main roster return as well as to still showcase The Ruler.
Recently having feuded in house shows, it could be a massive viral moment to see the return of Omos to take on another giant force to be reckoned with in Oba Femi.
