WWE Night of Champions 2025 is now just one week away and the match card seems to be close to capacity.

Confirmed for the June 28 PLE are: CM Punk challenging John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Title, Jacob Fatu defending the United States Championship against Solo Sikoa, Dominik Mysterio defending the Intercontinental Title against AJ Styles, and both the men’s and women’s King of the Ring finals set to take place.

While WWE typically doesn’t stray too far from five-six matches for a PLE of this ilk, there are plenty of possibilities still on the table.

Here are some potential title matches that could be added to the WWE Night of Champions 2025 card.

5. WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Becky Lynch (c) Vs. Lyra Valkyria Vs. Bayley

The recently returned Bayley is set to face Becky Lynch – who took her out in storyline – for the Intercontinental Title on the June 23 edition of WWE Raw.

It would be surprising if this turned out to be a one-and-done match, however.

It also looks like Lyra Valkyria isn’t finished with the storyline either, appearing visibly unhappy after her interaction with Bayley on the 16 May episode of Raw.

This could soon evolve into a three-way feud, potentially leading to a three-way match for the title at WWE Night of Champions.

4. WWE NXT Women’s Championship – Jacy Jayne (c) Vs. Blake Monroe

At Night of Champions there’s a chance we could see titles from all three brands defended.

This week on NXT, newly signed Blake Monroe’s contract signing was interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who – along with her Fatal Influence partners – put Monroe through a table.

This clearly looks to be setting up an immediate title shot for the former Mariah May.

While it’s probably a long shot, it would be a worthy addition to the WWE Night of Champions card.

3. WWE Women’s World Championship – IYO SKY (c) Vs. Rhea Ripley

Before Liv Morgan’s unfortunate injury, it looked like WWE were planting the seeds for a title match between her and IYO SKY.

That’s now off the table – but with SKY currently without a match for Night of Champions and having not appeared on a PLE since WrestleMania, a spot on the card still feels possible.

A natural opponent would be Rhea Ripley, who declared her own intentions for the title and who also doesn’t have a match for the show.

While WWE may be saving this showdown for Evolution or SummerSlam, it would be a blockbuster addition to Night of Champions.

2. WWE World Tag Team Championships – The New Day (c) Vs. The Street Profits

Current World Tag Team Champions The New Day are without clear direction – having only defended the titles once in the two months since winning them at WrestleMania.

They’ve recently accused other teams of not being worthy of a shot, but a storyline answer to this could come in the form of a challenge from SmackDown’s Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits – a team clearly worthy.

A Champions vs. Champions match would be a fitting addition to WWE Night of Champions.

While certainly a longshot, could we see this match added to the card for Saudi Arabia?

1. WWE Men’s Money In The Bank Briefcase – Seth Rollins (c) Vs. LA Knight

The last month has seen SmackDown star LA Knight feud with WWE Raw’s Seth Rollins and members of his new faction.

The pair clashed fiercely over the briefcase, which Rollins eventually won at Money in the Bank, and the faction later interfered to cost Knight his King of the Ring qualifier.

On the 20 June edition of SmackDown, Knight defeated Bron Breakker via disqualification after Bronson Reed again interfered.

This is clearly building to an eventual one-on-one showdown between Knight and Rollins – with the match potentially being a late addition to WWE Night of Champions. With it being Night of Champions, could we perhaps also see Rollins’ MITB briefcase up for contention?
