With the go-home episodes of Raw and SmackDown now in the books, the final card for WWE SummerSlam 2025 is officially set.
Twelve matches are confirmed—six for each night of the two-show affair.
However, even with the card finalised, that doesn’t mean last-minute changes are off the table.
Below are some things we could still see unfold across the weekend.
5. Cody Rhodes Heel Turn

On the go-home SmackDown before SummerSlam, John Cena’s WWE heel turn came to an abrupt and screeching end.
During his in-ring promo with Cody Rhodes, Cena turned himself back babyface.
It now seems that the main event of Night Two — the Street Fight between Cena and Rhodes — will be face vs face… or will it?
Cena’s surprising last-minute turn could be one-upped by a more shocking heel turn by Rhodes on the show.

4. Becky Lynch Debuts New Theme

Becky Lynch recently teased on social media that she’ll soon be debuting new entrance music.
She’s set to replace her now-iconic “Celtic Invasion” theme — a song that has defined her WWE run — with a new track recorded by pop punk band The Wonder Years.
Lynch announced on Instagram that a collaboration between “The Wonder Years x The Man” would be “coming soon.”
That “soon” could very well be her No DQ, No Countout match with Lyra Valkyria on Night Two of SummerSlam.

3. WWE ID Champions Appear

On 1 August, WWE’s ID programme — independent wrestlers signed to WWE retainer contracts — crowned its inaugural men’s and women’s champions.
Round-robin tournaments have been running across independent shows since WrestleMania week, culminating at the GCW-promoted WWE ID Showcase, where Cappuccino Jones defeated Jack Cartwheel to win the men’s title and Kylie Rae bested both Jayda Steel and Zara Zakher to become the first women’s champion.
Both champions are likely to sign full WWE contracts in the near future, and with the GCW event officially part of SummerSlam weekend, some form of acknowledgement seems likely across one of the big show’s two nights.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see both Jones and Rae appear in the crowd at MetLife Stadium sporting their new belts.

2. Chelsea Green Interrupts Cardi B

Rapper Cardi B is set to host WWE SummerSlam.
It’s not yet known what her hosting duties will actually involve.
What we can expect, however, is that she’ll be interrupted at some point during the two-night event by Chelsea Green along with her Secret Hervice.
And it seems likely that any interaction will end with Green on the wrong end of a celebrity beatdown!

1. Main Event of Night One Becomes Three-Way

In one of the most memorable WrestleMania moments, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE WrestleMania 31, turning the main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar into a three-way — before winning the title and iconically swinging the belt around his head as he walked up the ramp.
Could history be about to repeat itself?
The current Money in the Bank holder is reportedly out injured, but that status has been widely questioned.
Could we see the 39-year-old star make his way to the ring in the closing moments of Night One’s main event — turning GUNTHER vs CM Punk into a three-way?
