AEW’s next pay-per-view, All Out, takes place on September 20.

The September 6 edition of Collision continues the company’s residency in the ECW Arena and will further build towards the PPV.

Four matches have already been announced for Collision – Jon Moxley vs Daniel Garcia, Mark Briscoe vs Konosuke Takeshita, Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron vs Megan Bayne, Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blue, and FTR vs Adam Priest & Tommy Billington – but you can certainly expect further developments and storyline progression on tonight’s show.

Here are five potential developments for tonight’s Collision and what they could mean for the All Out card.

5. Don Callis & Kyle Fletcher Make Big Announcement

Aside from the matches scheduled for tonight’s Collision, a promo segment featuring Don Callis and TBS Champion Kyle Fletcher has also been announced.

It seems likely this will tie into this week’s Dynamite, where the Don Callis Family took out AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega.

This angle appears to be planting the seeds for Fletcher challenging for the AEW World Title.

During tonight’s promo on Collision, Callis could very well make that clear – issuing a challenge to Hangman Page for All Out.

4. Update On Will Ospreay

At Forbidden Door, Will Ospreay was written off AEW programming due to a significant neck injury that requires surgery.

It has been notable in the weeks since that his name has been repeatedly mentioned on AEW shows, with direct references to the injury – suggesting the company is keen to keep him in fans’ minds during his recovery.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported this week that Ospreay is set to undergo surgery to repair two herniated discs in the upcoming weeks.

We could see that timeline – or further details – acknowledged during tonight’s Collision broadcast.

3. Toni Storm’s Next Challenger Becomes Clear

Currently, Toni Storm has no clear challenger for her AEW Women’s World Title.

That could change on Collision during the All-Star eight-woman tag match, pitting Storm alongside Mina Shirakawa, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron against Megan Bayne, Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue.

Storm has already beaten Bayne earlier in the year at Dynasty, and given their current positions on the card, Hart and Blue are unlikely challengers – which leaves the ultra-talented newcomer to AEW, Thekla.

On Collision, we could see firm movement toward a PPV showdown between ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm and Thekla.

2. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage Appear

While not officially scheduled for the show, it’s likely we’ll see Adam Copeland and Christian Cage appear on tonight’s Collision.

One of the three bouts already announced for All Out sees the reformed duo of Cope and Christian take on FTR – a match that marks the first time the legendary tag team will compete together as a team in their native Canada since 2002.

Tonight on Collision, FTR face Adam Priest and Tommy Billington in what promises to be a standout tag bout.

A post-match beatdown on Priest and Billington – perhaps with an attempted conchairto – could set the stage for Cope and Christian to make a surprise save, continuing the build to AEW All Out.

1. Kazuchika Okada Costs Konosuke Takeshita His Victory

AEW's Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada

Set for tonight’s Collision is a guaranteed in-ring banger, as Mark Briscoe takes on Konosuke Takeshita.

This is a must-win match for Briscoe, with a shot at Kyle Fletcher’s TNT Championship on the line – a bout that’s been clearly set up in recent weeks.

However, Takeshita – fresh off winning the G1 Climax tournament in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and set to challenge for NJPW’s top title next month against Zack Sabre Jr – seems an unlikely candidate to take a clean loss here.

With tension continuing to build between Don Callis Family members Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada, we could very well see Okada cost Takeshita the match – setting up a dream singles bout between the Japanese stars at AEW All Out.
