AEW’s next PPV, All Out, takes place on 20 September, and this week has already seen two significant changes to the show.
The first is that the show’s start time has been moved to the afternoon, seemingly to avoid clashing with WWE’s Wrestlepalooza, which WWE scheduled for the same day.
The second is that All Out will be the first AEW PPV available through HBO Max — the platform AEW streams on in the US — with subscribers able to purchase the PPV through the service at a reduced price.
These changes will be coupled with in-ring developments, as storylines progress and the card continues to take shape in the weeks leading up to the big show.
5. Stipulation Added to FTR vs. Cope & Christian

One of the card’s marquee bouts is set to be the newly formed Cope and Cage returning to their native Canada to take on FTR.
The build to this match has been strong across recent weeks of AEW programming, with FTR continuing their standout run as detestable heels, and COPE and Christian reuniting as a team, which has been made all the more compelling by the stark contrast in their current characters.
Despite Cope and Christian not going the route of playing a nostalgia act of their former selves, could they still pay tribute to the match type they first made famous as Edge and Christian?
One change to AEW’s All Out could see this dream tag match become a TLC bout, something that could further warrant the match potentially taking the main event spot on September 20.

4. Dream Match Announced

The tension between Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita within Don Callis’ ever-growing stable is beginning to bubble to the surface.
On the 3 September edition of AEW Dynamite, during an interview with Renee Paquette, Okada noted that while Takeshita calls himself The Alpha, he is The Rainmaker — “the top dog of the Don Callis Family, bitch.”
A dream match between the two has clearly been on the cards, but it now looks like it could take place as soon as All Out.
A singles bout between these two could very well be one of the matches of the year.

3. Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe 5 Made Official

TBS Champion Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe have shared arguably the best in-ring rivalry in AEW over the past year.
The pair have met on four occasions — one of which was on ROH programming — splitting the wins two apiece.
In storyline terms, Briscoe must defeat Konosuke Takeshita on the September 6 edition of Collision to earn a shot at Fletcher’s title; this match could also fuel the escalating tension between Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada if Okada interferes and costs Takeshita the match, and doing so granting Briscoe the title shot.
One potential change to the All Out card could see Briscoe and Fletcher add Chapter 5 to their celebrated rivalry.

2. Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin Finally Announced

Jon Moxley and Darby Allin’s feud has, at this point, been going for nearly a year, since Mox defeated Allin for the number one contendership for the AEW title on 25 September 2024.
Since returning from climbing Mount Everest, Allin has been attempting to get a one-on-one bout with Moxley, who has so far refused — making Allin work through the rest of the Death Riders faction first.
Now, having taken out both Claudio Castagnoli and Gabe Kidd, it appears that Mox will be forced to grant him this bout.
This will certainly be a change to the current card, and also raises the questions: what stipulation will the match be given, and what level of carnage and depravity will fans witness at All Out?

1. Josh Alexander Gets AEW World Title Shot In Toronto

With Kenny Omega looking set to miss AEW All Out after he was stretchered out of Dynamite, what seemed like a potential tag team reunion with Hangman Adam Page at the September 20 event seems to be off the table, leading to questions regarding who from the Don Callis Family will step up and challenge the AEW World Champion.
While Kyle Fletcher appears the most obvious choice at present given that he was the one who took Omega out on Wednesday’s Dynamite, he seems set for a TNT Championship defense against Mark Briscoe at All Out.
While Fletcher could pull double duty, there is another option on the table for Hangman in the form of “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander.
Despite his booking not being overly strong since arriving in AEW, Alexander has picked up some wins for the Don Callis Family in recent weeks, and given that All Out is taking place in Alexander’s home of Canada, perhaps now is the best time to position him in a marquee spot on the card such as this.
