During the WrestleMania 41 Night One Kickoff show, WWE dropped the bombshell that they had acquired Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA.
Potentially one of the most shocking acquisitions in recent memory, and one that has led to speculation at whether some AAA names could potentially end up in WWE.
Let’s dive in and see what AAA may potentially have to offer to WWE.
5. Sam Adonis
Sam Adonis is a former AAA World Trios Champion alongside Puma King and DMT Azul, besides also being a former Rey de Reyes tournament winner.
However, his success in Mexico is not the only feather in his cap when it comes to jumping ship to WWE, as he is also the real-life brother of WWE commentator Corey Graves.
Imagine Corey Graves calling the matches of his brother in an NXT ring? That would be fun, right?
Even better, if Graves ever returned to compete inside a WWE ring once again then a tag team of the brothers would be a no brainer.

4. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. is the grandson of Dr. Wagner and the son of Dr. Wagner Jr. – two legendary luchadores.
He has already been wrestling since 2009, an impressive feat given that he’s only 33 years old.
Dr. Wagner Jr. can be described as one of AAA’s greatest exports, as he competed in wXw’s 16 Carat Gold tournament before and won multiple titles in Pro Wrestling NOAH, including the promotion’s World Title.
Dr. Wagner Jr. would fit right in in WWE, and has already previously been linked to going the company in the recent past.

3. Aero Star
Aero Star may be 40 years old, but he is unmatched when it comes to spectacular stunts.
Only Shane McMahon and Jeff Hardy may rival the daredevil mentality of Aero Star – who’s dives have captured the attention of both AAA fans and the wider wrestling audience.
Besides AAA, Aero Star has competed in TNA Wrestling, MLW and Lucha Underground in the past, as well as a cameo appearance in AEW in an AAA World Tag Team Championship match.
While his age wouldn’t make him a signing for the future, the memorable moments he could provide would make the signing a worthy one for WWE.

2. Psycho Clown
Psycho Clown is currently one of the most beloved stars in Mexico.
The adulation for him has not gone unnoticed in the pro wrestling world, recently competing in the 2025 edition of wXw’s 16 Carat Gold Tournament.
Besides the AAA Mega Championship, he has held every belt imaginable in AAA and won the Lucha Libre World Cup and the Rey de Reyes tournaments.
The 39 year old would bring something very unqiue and fun to WWE, so let’s see if they strike while the iron is hot.

1. El Hijo del Vikingo
El Hijo del Vikingo is the young hope for Lucha Libre, and among AAA’s biggest names both now, and for the future.
He won the 2024 version of the Rey de Reyes and is a former AAA Mega Champion at only 28 years old.
WWE clearly has their eyes on him as he was the face of the AAA-WWE deal and already appeared on WWE TV at WrestleMania 41.
Wether he will be signed to compete on the WWE main roster or in AAA for the time being, we will see – either way this signing seems likely at some point in the future.
