A pair of WWE rivals teamed up together ahead of a championship match at an upcoming Premium Live Event.
After losing both his WWE NXT Championship to Oba Femi at New Year’s Evil and then a Strap Match against Eddy Thorpe at WWE Vengeance Day, Trick Williams’ behavior has seen a shift.
While he would get his win back against Thorpe in an NXT Undergound match on March 18, Williams’ mission to reclaim his NXT Title from Femi has seen him act in a manner unlike what fans had become accustomed to during his run at the top of the brand.
This has most notably come at the expense of Je’Von Evans, who had seen several attempted interactions with Trick brushed off in a cold manner, which has built to both Evans and Williams being booked in a three-way with Femi for the NXT Championship at WWE Stand & Deliver in Las Vegas on April 19.
Despite their differences, Trick teamed up with Je’Von to defeat OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima) at last night’s WWE NXT live event in Gainesville, FL (April 5).
This won’t be the only time Evans and Williams team together ahead of Stand & Deliver, as WWE announced they both will team with Ob Femi against the newly formed faction known as Darkstate on this Tuesday’s NXT (April 8).
