Ahead of his match, Shawn Michaels shared a video of Ethan Page backstage, where he criticized other WWE title belt designs.

Addressing Page’s comments and hyping up the North American Championship match slated for Deadline, Shawn Michaels wrote:
“I’m not sure what he has against velcro… but I am sure that @OfficialEGO will put his North American Title on the line TONIGHT at #NXTDeadline!”
A number of top WWE titles first switched from having snap fasteners to velcro in 2019, with it being quicker to put on and take off the velcro belts.
Ethan Page is currently a double champion, also holding the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside SmackDown’s Chelsea Green.
