WWE star Elias may be set to return to his villainous ways, as he teased a heel turn during last night’s (October 17) episode of WWE Raw.
Elias made his return to WWE television last night after several months away. His younger brother Ezekiel had previously appeared in his place, but was written off TV by Kevin Owens on the August 8 edition of WWE Raw.
While his brother Ezekiel was a face, Elias has often appeared as a heel, and that seems set to stay the same after last night’s episode.
Elias caused Matt Riddle to lose his match against Seth Rollins for the United States Championship, when he ran in the ring to try to attack Rollins as revenge after Rollins superkicked him earlier at ringside.
Though Riddle was seconds away from winning the belt with an RKO, the interference allowed Rollins to recover and retain the title.
WrestlingNews.co speculates that another reason for the interference could be to set up Rollins to defend against Ali, Riddle, and Elias in a Fatal 4-way at Crown Jewel.
