Drew McIntyre has sent a message to WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, following the titleholder accepting McIntyre’s terms ahead of his return.
Following Cody Rhodes recently attacking Drew McIntyre at his home, Nick Aldis confirmed that as a result of the situation, when McIntyre returns to SmackDown next week, Rhodes can’t touch him, otherwise he’ll be stripped of the WWE Championship.
With Rhodes ultimately agreeing to the terms on the December 19 SmackDown episode, WWE has now shared a video of Drew McIntyre responding to Cody Rhodes, with McIntyre stating:
“Cody, Cody, Cody, you’re such a smug bastard, aren’t you? You tell half truths and lies up and down, but I’ll go into those next time I’m face to face with you.
“You attacked me in the parking lot a couple of weeks ago and all I was trying to do was come to work, do my job, and you have the audacity to attack me on my property.
“You claim to be a company man, the company man, does a company man show up to people’s houses and attack an innocent civilian? No, you’ve lost it, Cody.
“You’re an animal, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I am protecting these fans from seeing you rapidly descend into madness, and mess this whole thing up for everyone.
“You have admitted I’m the first person who’s broken you. Everyone sees it, you’re not the QB1 anymore. You’re going to be riding the bench as soon as a new captain emerges.
“You’re out of control, you’re not good for that championship, you’re not fit for the job, but I am. You escaped as champion last time we faced off because of an inept official, you think I was just going to forget about that?
“Nah man, I’ll be in Grand Rapids next week. You’ve got a week to think about the rest of your life, Cody, because if you lay your hands on me, it’s all over and the title’s mine.
“Regardless, once you and I face each other in that ring, the title is going to be mine anyway. So I hope you have a happy holidays, Cody, you and your family, it’ll be your last at WWE Champ. Oh, and Merry Christmas, asshole.”
