AEW World Champion MJF has reacted to the return of a fellow star who has been absent for the past six months due to injury.
In August last year, Nick Wayne was removed from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, with a broken foot being identified as the injury in question.
Absent from television since, the ROH World Television Champion made his return this past weekend.
MJF reacted to the return of Nick Wayne in a post shared on Twitter, sharing a single-word comment that reads:
“#proud”
Wayne’s return will feature on an upcoming episode of ROH TV, with spoilers for the match available right here.
Offered an AEW contract in February 2022, Wayne would make his debut shortly after turning 18 in July the following year.
A former member of The Patriarchy, Wayne betrayed Christian Cage after AEW All In: Texas in July of last year, continuing his union with Mother Wayne and Kip Sabian as The Matriarchy.
He is a former AEW World Trios Champion with Cage and Killswitch, who returned to his Luchasaurus name at last year’s All Out and has been reunited with Jack Perry.
Wayne is a former GCW Tag Team Champion alongside Jordan Oliver, who recently signed an AEW contract of his own.
