WWE Stars To Invade TNA Wrestling

On the September 23 edition of WWE NXT, the TNA locker room invaded the main event between Oba Femi and Trick Williams.

TNA stars like Matt Cardona, Eric Young, Moose, Steve Maclin, Steph De Lander, Mance Warner and Cedric Alexander piled into the ring and were met by the NXT locker room who also emptied out, causing the bout to be thrown out.

It appears that the two companies will at some point soon meet in a big match. Before then, however, we are likely to see NXT stars return the favor and invade TNA – perhaps as soon as the Victory Road event on Friday, September 26.

Here are five WWE stars who could invade TNA Wrestling.

5. Oba Femi

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi

The invasion of TNA Wrestling stars on NXT not only cost Oba Femi a victory over long-time rival Trick Williams, but also robbed him of the chance to capture the TNA World Championship.

This in itself suggests that Femi will be one of the WWE stars to return fire against the opposing promotion.

Moreover, as NXT Champion, Femi is the brand’s top star and would be expected to defend its honor by leading the charge.

At TNA’s Victory Road special this Friday, we could very well see Oba Femi make an appearance.

4. AJ Styles

At TNA’s last pay-per-view, Slammiversary, the biggest reaction of the entire night wasn’t for one of TNA’s current stars, but for AJ Styles.

The former face of the promotion was greeted rapturously, with the crowd chanting “one more match”.

With the NXT vs TNA feud ongoing, it feels unlikely that Styles will be directly involved in the invasion storyline as a main roster WWE star.

However, there’s every chance he returns to his old stomping ground for that “one more match” – perhaps as soon as Bound for Glory this October.

3. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger

In the melee that ensued when TNA stars invaded the September 23 edition of WWE NXT, among the first to hit the ring were Hank and Tank.

The former tag team champions sprinted down and threw themselves straight into the fight against the invading roster.

As this war between rival companies continues, it seems likely the duo will soon show up on TNA programming.

There are plenty of compelling bouts waiting for them – including against The Hardy Boyz, The Rascalz, and Saint & Sinner.

2. William Regal

On the September 26 edition of NXT, William Regal made his return to WWE programming.

At the close of the show, the former General Manager met with current GM Ava, warning her of “a lot of problems” ahead as TNA stars were unhappy with their world title being defended on NXT between two WWE talents.

Regal’s reappearance could see him reassume a storyline authority role, taking charge during this inter-promotional feud.

Invading TNA, Regal could manage the NXT team in an eventual WarGames bout between companies.

1. Je’Von Evans

Je’Von Evans is arguably the most talented star on the NXT roster.

Over the past year, despite his undeniable talent, he has repeatedly fallen short in big matches – pushed to a certain level on NXT programming but denied a decisive win.

As one of the brand’s most prominent figures, any inter-promotional feud is almost certain to feature the 21-year-old.

If Evans were the one to score the final victory in a WarGames match against TNA, it could finally be the breakthrough moment that pushes him to the very top of WWE NXT.
