WWE WrestleMania 41 has come and gone with the landscape changing across the board coming out of the biggest show of the year.
Heading into the post-Mania edition of Friday Night SmackDown, things have shifted on the brand with new champions being crowned and several other changes set to take place.
From NXT call-ups to returning talent making their way back, the blue brand should have some last-minute twists and turns that take place before our eyes on the April 25 episode.
Here are eight potential last-minute changes to WWE SmackDown.
8. Trick Williams Crashes Carmelo Hayes’ Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Win Celebration

On the April 18 WrestleMania SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes won the 2025 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal by last eliminating Andrade.
This should kickstart a newfound push for Hayes that should see him get some new opportunities in the brand new season for WWE.
With The Miz by his side, Melo should have an Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal win celebration on the April 25 episode that could set up a big arrival on the brand.
Trick Williams has seen himself going through an attitude change on the NXT brand that may lead to a heel turn, but WWE could maintain his babyface popularity by giving him a new scenery to explore by calling him up to SmackDown where he could crash this celebration for his former friend.

7. Alexa Bliss Returns With The Wyatt Sicks

After returning to WWE in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, Alexa Bliss looked to be coming back to a top spot in the women’s division.
Despite the huge pop she received upon her return, Bliss only made a few appearances on WWE TV before she was once again absent from the company’s programming.
Prior to her absence, the former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion had various hints and teases to joining The Wyatt Sicks faction.
When it is time for her second return in 2025, it should come alongside Uncle Howdy and company as a unit where she can take the role of leader on SmackDown.

6. Drew McIntyre Becomes The First Target Of Aleister Black

At WWE WrestleMania 41, Drew McIntyre defeated Damian Priest to win the Sin City Street Fight.
McIntyre has cemented himself as one of the top talent on the SmackDown brand and could make for an ideal first rival for the dark, mysterious figure that has been teased for the past several weeks.
Based on reports and various rumours, this figure will be revealed to be former AEW star Aleister Black.
With Black surely to receive cheers upon his return to the company, McIntyre feels like the right opponent to feud with the former NXT Champion and be his first target.

5. Fraxiom Added To WWE Tag Team Championship TLC Match

The April 25 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will feature The Street Profits defending the WWE Tag Team Championships against Motor City Machine Guns and DIY in a TLC Match.
All three teams have been feuding with one another over the past few months, which should lead to a very thrilling encounter that will be chaotic and wild.
However, WWE could add even further carnage to the proceedings by adding one of the most exciting duos in the entire company to this matchup.
After losing the NXT Tag Team Championships to Hank and Tank at Stand & Deliver, Fraxiom could make their way to the main roster as part of the SmackDown brand to be added to this TLC Match and be a favourite to win this bout.

4. Ethan Page Gets Called Up To SmackDown

Another NXT call-up that could take place on the April 25 edition of SmackDown could come in the form of Ethan Page.
Since arriving in WWE, Page has been a rapid rise that saw him capture the NXT Championship less than two months after his debut in the company.
“All Ego” has been one of the most consistently reliable heels in WWE over the past year and could contribute to the SmackDown brand.
Making his way to SmackDown could add a lot more depth to the roster with Page being able to become a capable rival for the likes of LA Knight or Damian Priest.

3. Solo Sikoa Turns On Jacob Fatu After United States Championship Win At WrestleMania 41

At WrestleMania 41, Jacob Fatu defeated LA Knight to win the United States Championship.
Prior to the premium live event, Fatu had been going through issues with his cousin and former “Tribal Chief,” Solo Sikoa.
With jealousy being prevalent between the two, it made many fans believe that Sikoa could potentially cost “The Samoan Werewolf” his title bout at Mania.
This betrayal might just take place now and become one of the main storylines moving forward on the SmackDown brand as Solo tries to take what Fatu earned for himself in the US Title.

2. Bianca Belair Turns Heel & Reunites With Naomi

Bianca Belair fell short in her quest to win the WWE Women’s World Championship after losing to IYO SKY in a three-way battle also including Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 41 night two.
Ahead of the match and during the bout itself, Belair received loud boos from the fans that she seemed to acknowledge at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”
To fully embrace this reaction from the audience, Belair could undergo a heel turn that puts her in alignment with the boos that she has been receiving.
Following her loss to Jade Cargill at Mania, Naomi could be a catalyst for “The EST of WWE” turning heel and the two former friends reuniting to take down their former Big 3 stablemate.

1. Cody Rhodes’ Road Back To The Top Begins

John Cena made history by defeating Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 night two.
After Cena captured his record-breaking 17th world championship, Rhodes finds himself in a difficult situation where he has to look back on how he failed to vanquish the threat to the title and the entire industry that his rival has become.
“The American Nightmare” still remains WWE’s top babyface and could restart his rise back to the top of the company on the April 25 Friday Night SmackDown.
Whether it be overcoming threats on the blue brand or invoking his rematch clause, Cody’s quest will begin immediately and lead to him having to face different obstacles along the way back to John Cena.
