6 TNA Wrestling Stars To Sign With WWE

Share

WWE and TNA Wrestling are currently in the middle of a fruitful partnership, with stars from both companies crossing over between both of their programming.

The TNA stars have received far more shine on WWE programming than WWE’s have on TNA TV, and with that comes the likelihood that WWE will eventually swoop in and attempt to secure some of these stars on a long-term basis.

But that’s not exclusive to those that have made it to WWE TV thus far, as there are also plenty of others under TNA contract who could be on WWE’s radar.

So with that said, let’s take a look at six TNA stars who could sign with WWE.

6. Joe Hendry To Sign With WWE?

The most obvious name by far for a list such as this has to be the viral sensation known as Joe Hendry.

If you had no prior knowledge of Hendry’s contract situation you could easily mistake him for a hot new WWE signing, and one that the company had some serious investment in.

I mean seriously, this man is getting video packages, live concerts, his own section on WWE’s streaming home of Peacock – it’s frankly ridiculous how featured Hendry is on WWE NXT, all the while not being signed to any kind of WWE contract.

It truly is a different era in WWE, that’s for sure. Despite Hendry reportedly still having well over a year left on his TNA deal, one would imagine WWE will look to acquire his services full time when that time comes.

If they do in fact manage that, then all of this investment in him will be paid off in spades when he does put pen to paper as an established name in the minds of WWE’s audience.

5. ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey

Unlike Joe Hendry, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey is someone who hasn’t featured on WWE TV as of yet.

Given his undeniable talents inside the ring, it’s tough to imagine they won’t be interested in changing that, especially as Bailey’s TNA Wrestling deal is reportedly up towards the end of 2024.

The current X-Division Champion has established himself as one of wrestling’s most exciting in-ring talents, and is sure to garner interest from both AEW and WWE – with a TNA stay obviously possible as well.

At the very least, it’d be nice to see Bailey tie up with the likes of Nathan Frazer, Wes Lee and others of his ilk in WWE NXT – heck a contrast of sizes and styles against Oba Femi would be an exciting prospect also, so here’s hoping.

4. Josh Alexander

Like Bailey, Josh Alexander is another star who could be available in the near future as his TNA contract reportedly expires in February 2025.

Alexander reportedly wanted to leave in February 2024, but instead TNA opted to pick up their option for an additional one year extension on his deal.

Of course, Alexander could have a change of heart by the time his contract comes up, but as of now there’s been no word that he’s considering staying.

By the time February comes around Alexander is sure to have interest from other companies, and in WWE there is already a ready made angle for Alexander through his former tag team partner in The North, Ethan Page. Either an alliance or rivalry with the reigning NXT Champion sounds like an ideal place to start.

3. AJ Francis

Former WWE star Top Dolla

AJ Francis, AKA Top Dolla, was one of Triple H’s first re-hires when he took charge of WWE creative in the Summer of 2022 – with The Game bringing back the entire Hit Row faction.

Well, almost. The group’s leader Swerve Strickland was already on his path to superstardom in AEW, so needless to say the group wasn’t quite the same this time around.

While Ashante Thee Adonis and B-Fab remain in WWE, Francis was let go in September 2023 and has since gone on to find success in TNA.

There’s not yet been any sign of Francis working with WWE again, however, he was backstage at an NXT taping last month. So, maybe he has one more big WWE return in him?

2. The Rascalz

TNA Stars Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel in WWE NXT

Along with Hendry, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the WWE and TNA Wrestling partnership has been Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel of The Rascalz – who have both become regulars on Tuesday nights.

Whether that continues after Wes Lee’s brutal heel turn on both of them remains to be seen, however, their showings thus far have surely done enough to pique WWE’s interest in them long-term.

Wentz in particular was welcomed back with open arms in NXT, and to many fans, he deserves another shot in the company, and obviously if Lee’s gone off on his own then bringing Miguel along with Wentz would be a no brainer.

Unfortunately for WWE, if they are interested, they may have to do some waiting as both Wentz and Miguel signed new TNA deals last December. While the length of these isn’t known one would expect they are staying put for the foreseeable.

1. Jordynne Grace Heading To WWE?

TNA Knockout's Champion Jordynne Grace on WWE NXT

Joe Hendry may be the new poster boy for the WWE and TNA relationship, but let’s not forget who kicked this relationship off – The Juggernaut Jordynne Grace.

The TNA Knockouts Champion hasn’t been back on WWE TV since challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship, and there’s no word on if/when she will make a return.

What is clear, however, is the impression she’s made in the handful of WWE appearances she’s had – both in NXT and of course at the 2024 Royal Rumble.

Grace’s contract with TNA is reportedly up in January 2025 – so if she opts to explore her options, WWE certainly won’t have long to wait to secure her signature.
