WWE NXT Call-Ups After Saturday Night’s Main Event

The NXT roster currently features a host of performers who appear on the cusp of a call-up to WWE’s main roster.

It certainly seems likely that we’ll see some of those stars make the jump as the company heads into its final two big shows of the year: Survivor Series and Saturday Night’s Main Event on 13 December — a huge event given it will feature John Cena’s final match.

So which NXT stars could get that long-awaited call-up?

Here are six WWE NXT stars to potentially get a main roster call-up after Saturday Night’s Main Event.

6. Trick Williams

Across the entire WWE roster, few stars possess as much natural charisma as Trick Williams — everything about his look, presence, and microphone work screams top star.

The one thing that had held Williams back, and the reason for his four-year stint in developmental, was that his in-ring work wasn’t on the level of his charisma — or the standard expected of a top performer in the company.

That, however, has changed this year: working across both NXT and TNA, the 31-year-old has developed into an effective in-ring worker, capable of performing at a WWE main event level.

Williams has one final challenge set for the NXT Title — a Last Man Standing match against Ricky Saints on 11 November – and after that it appears his long-awaited main roster debut will follow imminently.

5. Charlie Dempsey

Charlie Dempsey has recently completed his second tour of Japan in as many years — last year with All Japan Pro Wrestling, and this year with Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The son of William Regal is a gifted in-ring technician, working the chain-wrestling style as his father, and his time in Japan has only further polished his already impressive skill set.

Dempsey’s time in NXT appears to be coming to an end, with his faction, No Quarter Catch Crew, effectively disbanded — leaving only himself and Wren Sinclair still carrying the name.

When he returns from Japan, it seems likely we’ll soon see the 28-year-old make the jump to WWE’s main roster — and perhaps even be given his famous father’s surname in the process.

4. Hank and Tank

On the subject of excursions in Japan, NXT tag team Hank and Tank have themselves just begun a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The duo picked up a win in their first match, defeating standout team Dragonbane and Alpha Wolf at NOAH Sunny Voyage on 26 October, and now look set to challenge Team 2000X for the GHC Tag Team Championships.

It’s arguable that their current look — wearing ice hockey jerseys like a tribute act of mid-’90s pioneers The Public Enemy — isn’t quite main roster ready, but Hank and Tank have proven themselves to be a highly effective duo with considerable chemistry.

Perhaps with a slight tweak to their gimmick, we could soon see the pair elevated to WWE’s main roster.

3. Myles Borne

NXT star Myles Borne has drawn comparisons from many quarters to Randy Orton.

Borne has indeed borrowed liberally from both Orton’s moveset and even his look, but he’s far from a tribute act — he displays the same level of smoothness and fluidity in the ring that has long defined Orton’s work.

Where Borne distinguishes himself is in his ability as a babyface:  he’s an inherently likeable and sympathetic performer — someone the audience can’t help but root for — and his compelling story as a deaf athlete adds depth and authenticity to his character.

His work over the past year has shown that the 26-year-old is on the cusp of a WWE main roster call-up — something we can expect to see very soon.

2. Jacy Jayne

Jacy Jayne recently lost her NXT Women’s Championship in a standout performance against Tatum Paxley at the recent Halloween Havoc PLE.

The 29-year-old has been a long-time member of the NXT roster, debuting back in 2020.

Over those years, her in-ring ability has improved markedly, while she’s continued to show impressive character work — both as part of Toxic Attraction and, more recently, the Fatal Influence stable.

Jayne looks ready for a WWE main roster spot, and now without a title, could we see her elevation before the end of the year — and will she debut alongside her Fatal Influence faction?

1. Oba Femi

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi

Oba Femi lost his NXT Men’s Championship at the end of September, and the former champion has notably not had a match on NXT television since.

The 27-year-old star has been the focal point of WWE’s developmental brand throughout 2025 and now appears to be without clear direction.

Given that, it certainly seems he’s about to make his debut on the main roster.

Having been pushed heavily on NXT, WWE clearly see Femi as a potential top star — so could we see him slotted straight into a major role, perhaps even as a surprise entrant in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series?
