With a potential that several TNA Wrestling stars could find themselves signing with WWE in the near future, there are some WWE legends who could go the other way.
From those who haven’t left WWE yet to others who have been out of the company for quite some time, there are some names from WWE past that could make a great impact on TNA Wrestling today.
Here are 7 WWE legends that could sign with TNA Wrestling.
7. AJ Styles

One WWE legend that could sign with TNA Wrestling is a TNA Wrestling legend in his own right — AJ Styles.
With reports that Styles’ current contract with WWE ends in February 2026, it remains unclear if he will extend with the company again.
Potentially able to capitalize on a full retirement tour for AJ Styles in a similar style to the successful retirement run of John Cena, it could be that there are a few more big moments left for Styles in WWE.
But it could also make sense for him to end up departing WWE, re-signing with TNA Wrestling and using that company as a homebase for his retirement run. With top talent coming to challenge Styles in TNA Wrestling, the farewell would remain a focus of programming rather than potentially getting buried in other storylines.

6. Paige (Saraya)

While the former Divas Champion has made it clear she is open to making a WWE return, a comeback in the partner promotion TNA Wrestling might be even more meaningful.
With the TNA Wrestling Knockouts division seemingly in a rebuilding phase in terms of singles competition, it could be that Paige comes in and has an immediate title reign.
Able to take on Kelani Jordan straight away for the TNA Knockouts Championship, Paige could definitely bring her bold and tough persona straight into a title.
Bringing about potentially new fans as well as those just curious to see what happens when Paige arrives — the former NXT Women’s Champion, Divas Champion and WWE Women’s Champion could be a needle mover.

5. Chris Jericho

While many fans are expecting Chris Jericho to re-sign with WWE when his current contract with AEW comes to an end — perhaps he would go another route.
If Jericho were to sign with TNA Wrestling ahead of a future return to WWE, he could quite literally be the figurehead of the promotion.
Able to bring in a lot of new eyes to the product, Jericho has recently commented positively regarding TNA, even throwing a little shade in comparing them to AEW.
Noting that he felt that TNA Wrestling looked like the number two company in professional wrestling, it could be that Jericho takes this opportunity to grow another brand before returning to WWE for retirement.

4. Sheamus

With John Cena’s farewell tour and AJ Styles potentially speaking about retiring in the near future, another potential WWE star in the twilight of their career is Sheamus.
While he continues to chase his final accolade at the minute — the Intercontinental Championship which is the last title eluding him and preventing him from capturing a WWE Grand Slam — there could be more ahead for Sheamus.
Definitely able to make his way to TNA Wrestling and have his own resurgence, it would make complete sense to see the star at the top of TNA Wrestling quickly.
With his hard hitting action having been a staple of WWE in-ring work over several decades, it could be that Sheamus makes his mark on another brand entirely before hanging up his boots.

3. Trish Stratus

A WWE legend from the women’s division that could make her way to the TNA Wrestling Knockouts division could be WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus.
While Stratus still makes periodic appearances in WWE, she could also use the partnership between the two companies to make a foray to TNA Wrestling.
Bringing new eyes to the growing Knockouts division, Stratus could link up in the ring with up and coming talent from both TNA Wrestling and NXT.
Definitely a force to be reckoned with, Stratus would be able to make a huge impact even in a short number of appearances in the company.

2. Mick Foley

One perennial fan favorite that could seemingly pop-up on any wrestling TV show and be warmly received is the legendary Mick Foley.
While Foley has revealed that he will not be making an in-ring return in future, he could definitely still be a compelling on-screen character.
With TNA Wrestling also having featured some amazing moments in Foley’s career, it could be an enjoyable homecoming to see the beloved fan favorite return to TV screens.
Always an enjoyable authority figure, Foley would be an amazing intermediary with the growing crossovers between WWE and TNA Wrestling.

1. Braun Strowman

While there could be some pushback about applying the term “legend” to Braun Strowman, his WWE accomplishments are undeniable.
Having captured the WWE Tag Team Championship twice (once with Seth Rollins and once with a ‘random’ child named Nicholas), he also won the WWE Universal Championship as well as the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Strowman continues to entertain fans, now with his ‘Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman’ travel show on USA Network which as promised — he orders and attempts to eat everything on a restaurant menu.
Definitely a star that could bring attention to TNA Wrestling, Strowman would be a fun special attraction to pop-up and cause some havoc in the promotion.
