There are numerous former WWE stars with legendary careers that could be headed to re-signing with the company in 2025.

From the legendary father of current WWE stars to someone who previously never saw themselves returning – there are numerous WWE legends who could make their way back.

Here are six WWE legends that could re-sign with the company in 2025.

6. Paige

Former WWE and AEW star Saraya (Paige)

While she was known as her real name Saraya in AEW, fans continue to clamor for the WWE return of Paige.

The former Divas Champion was forced to cut her WWE in-ring career short due to injury but has since been medically cleared to compete and has resumed wrestling.

Recently commenting that she was hopeful to do some in-ring training with Natalya at the Dungeon training facility, perhaps Paige is poised to return someday.

Hopefully Saraya makes her way back to WWE and potentially even into some of the big match moments that didn’t even exist for women in the company during her tenure, like the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber.

5. Brie Bella

Another legend from the WWE women’s division that could re-sign with the company is Brie Bella.

Twin sister Nikki Bella already made an in-ring return as a surprise entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble.

With rumors already swirling that Nikki Bella could be making another in-ring return this Summer, it’s been teased that we could actually see both Bella Twins back in action.

While perhaps Brie may have allegiances with AEW via Bryan Danielson, she is definitely a WWE legend in her own right that could return to the company.

4. Haku

Haku is a legend in professional wrestling for his career that not only spanned WWF and WCW but also due to his wild outside-of-the-ring exploits.

Now that Haku’s son Tonga Loa and adopted son Tama Tonga are in WWE, he would make an intriguing addition to WWE TV.

Perhaps just making one or two big special appearances rather than actually becoming a regular on TV, Haku would be a fun presence.

With Tonga Loa having been out of action due to injury and essentially being the one member of the Bloodline that doesn’t have a defined on-screen personality, adding Haku could actually work!

3. Chris Jericho

Despite having been with AEW since the beginning in 2019, Chris Jericho could conceivably return to WWE.

While Chris Jericho may have previously seemed to be with AEW until the end, but things don’t necessarily seem so concrete anymore.

Jericho has recently opened the door on the possibility, noting that “of course” he would consider a return to WWE.

With Jericho assumed to be in line for eventual induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, it would seem far more likely to be sooner rather than later if he was re-signed with WWE.

2. Mickie James

While Mickie James has been a standout mentor on the A&E network WWE competition series LFG (Legends & Future Greats), a second season of the show has been announced, but she was absent from the mentor list.

Although there was some initial fan frustration, perhaps that could be alleviated if James returns to WWE TV elsewhere.

The booking of James’ last tenure in WWE did not live up to her overall career – an error that hopefully the company rectifies by re-signing her for another run.

Although she certainly already had a farewell run in TNA Wrestling, a WWE farewell program for Mickie James would be completely appropriate.

1. Matt & Jeff Hardy

While the Hardy Boyz have made recent appearances on WWE NXT, fans are still hopeful to see more from the legends.

The duo currently remain in TNA Wrestling after having reportedly signed one-year contracts back in November 2024.

However, with some rumors speculating that Matt and Jeff Hardy could be headed for a WWE main roster feud this Summer, we’ll have to wait and see if the rumblings turn out to be true.

Whenever the legendary tag team is available, WWE should definitely re-sign them for one last run and a Hall of Fame induction.
