With surprises around every turn, there could be some legendary WWE appearances at AEW Worlds End 2025 on December 27.

From WWE legends on the roster who haven’t been seen for a while to others who could pop up to settle old scores, there are some interesting names that could appear at the event.

Here are five potential WWE legends that could make an appearance at AEW Worlds End 2025.

5. Beth Copeland

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix at AEW All Out

A WWE Hall of Famer who isn’t on the AEW roster, Beth Copeland could make an appearance at Worlds End.

Potentially ushering in the return of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, it seems unlikely that the former Beth Phoenix won’t get to deliver some vengeance in AEW sometime in the near future.

It could be that the Copelands are both looking to get their pound of flesh from Stokely Hathaway before the end of the calendar year.

Able to settle some old scores with FTR after their attack at AEW All Out, there could be a Glamazon coming soon to AEW.

4. Billy Gunn

One WWE legend that could make an appearance at AEW Worlds End 2025 could be Billy Gunn.

While Billy Gunn remains under AEW contract – so it shouldn’t be particularly surprising if he appears – he hasn’t been seen in the company for quite some time.

Potentially able to make a return at AEW Worlds End to continue his storyline with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens – who remain locked in a begrudging loose partnership – there is another path forward as well.

Possibly reuniting with his sons, maybe a return from Austin & Colten Gunn could be coming soon.

3. Adam Copeland

Absent from AEW since the assault on his wife Beth Copeland by FTR at All Out 2025, Adam Copeland was shown in a backstage segment explaining his absence.

Noting that he needed to take some time away to think, in reality there was a very Hollywood reason for his departure.

Copeland was filming for the new season of the Disney+ show Percy Jackson & The Olympians, where he stars as Aries, the God of War.

Likely to return in the near future, it could be that the time is right at AEW Worlds End.

2. Kurt Angle

One WWE legend who has yet to make an appearance in AEW is Kurt Angle.

Since Kurt Angle has recently returned to screens as a sports analyst and color commentator for Real American Freestyle, perhaps he could be persuaded.

The appearance could serve as promotion for both brands, although RAF has had a sponsorship deal with WWE.

Always a fun nostalgic favorite for fans to see pop up every now and again, Angle wouldn’t have to feature heavily to still make an impact.

1. Christian Cage

Another WWE legend who remains under contract but off TV in AEW is Christian Cage.

Potentially returning alongside Adam Copeland to challenge the AEW Tag Team Champions FTR, it could be that Christian Cage is on his way back to AEW for Worlds End.

Definitely poised to link back up with Cope and have a huge motivation to target FTR, there could even be an exciting trios match in the future.

Able to join the Copelands in action against FTR and their trusted companion Stokely Hathaway in what could be a legendary mixed-tag match, there is a lot that Christian Cage could still do in AEW.
