After news broke about impending departures from WWE, fans already began to wonder if some of their favorites may arrive in TNA Wrestling.
While TNA Wrestling already has several former WWE stars on the roster, with the influx of new talent available, it seems likely more are yet to be signed.
Here are five former WWE stars that may end up joining TNA Wrestling.
5. Shotzi

Among the WWE releases, Shotzi revealed that she was informed her contract won’t be renewed.
While it’s unknown exactly when it expires – although it’s reportedly less than 90 days – it means she’s not subject to the same 90 or 30 day non-compete clause as others.
With her recent appearances with Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin in Chemical X, one would imagine that perhaps she could pop back into the TNA Wrestling universe if Dolin is also headed in that direction with her husband Zachary Wentz signed there.
A hard worker and certainly entertaining inside the ring and on the mic, Shotzi would be a great pickup for TNA Wrestling.

4. Dakota Kai

Fans expressed considerable shock when Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai was amongst those set to be departing WWE.
While she recently competed for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, she would fail to capture singles gold during her several years with the company.
However, Kai may be able to find success in the TNA Wrestling Knockouts division as a singles star if given the opportunity.
With sharp in-ring ability and positive fan support, Dakota Kai still has a lot left to contribute in her career.

3. Braun Strowman

After a successful first run in WWE, Braun Strowman was released in 2021 only to be brought back in 2022, and now has been released again.
While the “Monster among Men” was a crowd favorite at WWE events, he failed to capture any championships since his return to the company in 2022.
The former Universal Champion and Intercontinental Champion (won during his first tenure) is likely to find another promotion in professional wrestling given his popularity with fans.
With an established character that fans enjoy but the ability to make a shift into something entirely different, Braun Strowman could find new life in TNA Wrestling in a variety of forms.

2. Shayna Baszler

While her main roster run is primarily known for her tag team work, having been a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion (twice with Nia Jax and once with Ronda Rousey), Shayna Baszler is a ferocious singles competitor.
Don’t forget – Baszler was also a two-time NXT Women’s Champion having held the title for a record combined 549 days.
Demonstrating her ability to be both vicious in the ring and entertaining in backstage segments, Baszler always makes for a fun odd couple pairing with a tag partner – so she could do that in TNA too.
Making an amazing addition to the TNA Knockouts division, Baszler would definitely make an impact in the promotion.

1. Sidney Akeem

Previously appearing on the main roster in WWE as Reggie and then in NXT as SCRYPTS, Sidney Akeem was let go by WWE in May 2024.
Already making waves in independent wrestling, Akeem has found a second life in the industry making appearances with the likes of GCW and even an appearance in AEW affiliate ROH.
Using his background as an acrobat for Cirque du Soleil in his in-ring work, Akeem has delighted fans with his unique skills.
Given that Akeem has already been used in TNA Wrestling – notably in the Ultimate X match for the X-Division title at Rebellion recent pay-per-view – Akeem would be a great full-time signing for TNA Wrestling.
