The WWE calendar fills up fast but there are several old pay-per-views that could be easily resurrected in the Triple H era.
Between fan favorites that were gone too soon to reviving old concepts under a new title, there are numerous options for new WWE premium live events from vintage ideas.
Here are seven old WWE pay-per-views that could be brought back in 2025.
7. Cyber Sunday (or Taboo Tuesday)

Cyber Sunday should absolutely return to WWE, albeit on whatever day they want to host the event!
The event featured fan-voted matches – using text messaging and online voting from 2004- 2008, a concept innovative for the time but could be even more interactive now.
While there were some elements of the matches that were up for fan vote, an entire premium live event set up by audience interaction once a year could be an incredible way to tell one-off stories or just have fun.
Perhaps it could move to NXT and resurrect the original name of Taboo Tuesday, as the first two years of the event were held on Tuesdays.

6. St Valentine’s Day Massacre

On February 14, 1999 the 27th and last edition of the WWF ‘In Your House’ series of events was dubbed the St Valentine’s Day Massacre.
While NXT still celebrates the season with their holiday themed event ‘Vengeance Day’, WWE should bring back this long forgotten name.
How about this for serendipity – February 14, 2026 just happens to fall on a Sunday so would be the perfect time to resurrect the classic pay-per-view name for a special event.
It has been a while since a WWE wedding has occurred on screen, so even better if all the hijinks and tomfoolery that accompany an on-screen wedding can somehow be incorporated.

5. Bragging Rights

In the past, Survivor Series served as a sort of ‘brand warfare’ between Raw and SmackDown (and even NXT in 2019).
However in recent years that concept has been replaced by the WarGames stipulation for the titular matches of the night.
It used to be a great deal of fun to see this brand versus brand battling – a concept that could be great to return under the banner of ‘Bragging Rights’.
The premium live event could be a good vehicle to see some of the NXT vs. main roster matches that fans love to fantasy book, making it a special event for ‘diehard’ WWE fans.

4. Great Balls Of Fire

Cast your minds back if you will to a different era in WWE. It is 2017 and a brand new premium live event has just been announced – Great Balls of Fire.
Still a little unclear as to how or why this event was named after a 1961 classic by the problematic American singer Jerry Lee Lewis, however the name has stood the test of time as being one of the strangest named events.
Main evented by Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe as well as featuring Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns in an ambulance match – the event was intriguing albeit disjointed from the name.
However, it would be fun to see the name return – even if only for a special edition of NXT.

3. Armageddon

This annual event was a WWE classic between 1999 and 2008, most frequently in December as the last pay-per-view event of the year.
Oft remembered most fondly for the iconic six-man Hell in a Cell match at the 2000 edition of the event featuring WWE Champion Kurt Angle successfully defending his title against The Undertaker, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, The Rock, and Rikishi, the event could definitely be revived.
Perhaps WWE could resurrect the former Armageddon name but blending with the attempted ‘Day One’ concept from 2022 into some sort of year-ending event.
Marking the official beginning of a new year with a major event could become a fun annual tradition.

2. Breaking Point

WWE Breaking Point was a one-off event in 2009 which hosted a variety of now fascinating matches – but with the common theme of being submission or ‘I Quit’ based stipulations.
The original featured such matches as John Cena winning the WWE Championship from Randy Orton in an ‘”I Quit” match and CM Punk retaining the World Championship against the Undertaker in a submission match.
Cody Rhodes was there too, albeit the Legacy version alongside Ted DiBiase Jr where they beat DX’s Triple H and Shawn Michaels in a submissions count anywhere match.
It would be incredible to see Breaking Point return to add an interesting set of stipulation matches to the WWE calendar.

1. Evolution

One event that does genuinely seem like it’s on the verge of returning is WWE Evolution.
The first and so far only Evolution took place in 2018 and was an all-women’s show, with the only male presence being Michael Cole on commentary.
Reports from various sources have indicated that Evolution is planned to make a comeback in just a few months.
It’s been a long seven-year wait, but hopefully it’ll be worth it come June/July.
