6 WWE Babyface Stars To Turn Heel Soon

Share

WWE heel turns thumb

The WWE Draft has just concluded and the landscape in WWE has changed once again.

At least a little bit, as WWE protected the champions during the draft and was overall pretty happy with how the roster was before.

This has been criticised by fans as it made the actual draft shows perhaps less spectacular than in previous years.

A possible way for WWE to shake things up soon would be turning and twisting the characters on the shows. And no we are not turning Cody Rhodes heel, what the hell Undertaker?

Some of those realistic twists and turns, though, could serve as a great shock to boost interest in the product, others should help stagnant stars to find a new path in their career.

For example this happy-go-lucky woman…

6. Tegan Nox

The Blue Marvel is in desperate need for a change as she spent most of her entire wrestling career as a babyface.

After Natalya took to NXT and found a new partner in Karmen Petrovic, this serves as the perfect motivation for the Welsh woman to turn on Nattie.

Nox is way too talented to sit on the bench, giving her a try as a heel is the way to reinvigorate her career – and she is not the only SmackDown women’s star in need of a twist.

5. Naomi

Naomi is done as a babyface and Bayley needs a credible challenger for her title, doesn’t she?

Well since Damage CTRL are now over on Raw and fresher talent like Tiffany Stratton is constantly passing Naomi by, maybe it is time for the GLOW to reassess some things.

A heel Naomi character looks quite promising as she hasn’t been a heel in a long long time. It is time for the SmackDown roster to feel the evil glow.

A spot in The Bloodline alongside husband Jimmy Uso would have seemed like an option, but of course now that’s not on the table.

4. Andrade

Honestly, it is hard to connect with Andrade as a babyface.

Andrade is a natural-born heel it seems. His best runs came as a cocky heel, not as the guy that stands up for others and helps everyone.

Sooner or later it is time for Andrade to turn heel, it would be a shock to see Andrade go a full calendar year as a babyface – but we shall see.

This seems like an inevitability, but anytime soon? Probably not just yet.

3.The Pride

When The Pride first started, the goal was to give The Street Profits a new attitude. But due to the lack of babyface teams to face, and fans just loving Bobby Lashley, The Pride turned ended up being babyfaces anyway despite that not being the initial plan.

However, still on Smackdown, it might be time for a new way.

Just like Judgment Day on Raw, maybe it’s time for a new group to run Smackdown.

We are yet to see a proper heel run on the main roster featuring the Street Profits. 2024 looks like the perfect year to give a group a fresh coat of paint.

2. Braun Strowman

WWE star Braun Strowman

Strowman just returned to WWE as what seems to be a babyface. The Monster Of All Monsters being nice and shaking hands?

Undoubtedly this status is not going to last for long. Assuming that the “Wyatt 6” are going to be a babyface stable, Strowman could simply be their first target.

This could perhaps lead to him eventually joining the group, but maybe being resistant at first. Really there are so many ways that could go, but we all know Strowman’s affiliation with Wyatt and it will likely play a part in Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas’ return run

We could see a new wrinkle in the evil ways of Strowman which could eventually lead to him rising up the card again.

1. CM Punk

Yes. The Second City Saint must turn heel.

While the feud with Drew McIntyre is serving up some great television, Drew McIntyre will eventually be proven right.

Once provoked long enough by someone on the good side, CM Punk is going to snap.

Whoever follows after Drew, and dare I say it might be Seth Rollins, is gonna make Punk turn.

At some point the alleged ‘real’ Punk should be revealed. Not me saying that is what Punk is actually like in real life, but him embodying all the worst things people have said about him over the years would be a masterstroke.

Either that or simply a corporate Punk character, where he goes directly against the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’ moniker and embraces what he once fought against would be amazing.

When heel, CM Punk is unstoppable, unhinged and on the very top of the industry.

This is where he feels most comfortable, so let him cook.
