Will Ospreay AEW rematches taking place soon: Who will renew their rivalry with the current World Champion?

Following AEW All In London 2026, Will Ospreay is the reigning AEW World Champion.

After dethroning Kenny Omega in Wembley Stadium, fans could see some new opponents for Ospreay, but there could be some old rivals who emerge as future challengers.

From longtime rivals to top stars looking to reclaim the gold, these rematches will garner a huge spotlight to help bolster this reign for “The Aerial Assassin.”

Here are four potential AEW rematches taking place soon for Will Ospreay.

Ricochet

On the September 2 edition of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay kicked off the program as the new AEW World Champion after All In London 2026.

The first man who came out to interrupt the new champion was none other than Ricochet.

Alongside Gates of Agony, Ricochet staked his claim to a shot at his longtime rival.

This could lead to Ricochet emerging as a contender to challenge Ospreay for the AEW World Title either on a future episode of Dynamite or a major pay-per-view.

Gabe Kidd

Another star who came out to interrupt Will Ospreay during his first promo as AEW World Champion was Gabe Kidd.

The Dogs member has shown a heightened level of aggression to his fellow countryman after Ospreay became the first Brit to win the AEW World Champion.

Wanting to inflict pain, Kidd has tried to attack Ospreay with a steel chair, but Jon Moxley has stepped in the way.

After Mox gets his opportunity at All Out, Kidd could step up next to finish what his Death Riders leader started with “The Billy GOAT.”

Kyle Fletcher

Ever since Will Ospreay won the AEW World Title, many fans have brought up the possibility of Kyle Fletcher becoming a top contender.

“The Protostar” was the former friend and protege to Ospreay in the United Empire.

However, Fletcher turned on his former mentor to join The Don Callis Family and went on to feud with Ospreay for months.

It feels like Fletcher should be the one to dethrone Ospreay for the AEW World Title sometime down the road.

MJF

At AEW Dynamite: Beach Break 2026, Kenny Omega defeated MJF to win the AEW World Championship.

During the bout, MJF attempted to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Will Ospreay came out to stop him, leading to Omega’s victory.

Since then, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has put 100% of the blame for his loss on Ospreay.

Vowing revenge, MJF should return to go directly after Ospreay and try to take his title as soon as possible.
