With the recent crossovers between TNA Wrestling and WWE, there could be new signings coming from the current TNA roster.
From former WWE stars who made recent big returns on NXT to others who have quietly appeared numerous times – there are some top talents currently in TNA that could elect to move to WWE in the future.
Here are nine current TNA Wrestling stars that could find themselves signing with WWE in the near future.
9. Joe Hendry

While there are some stars in TNA Wrestling who would love to have a WrestleMania moment someday in their future, Joe Hendry has already had one.
Featuring in a bout against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 – after Kevin Owens was forced out of action due to injury, leaving Orton without an opponent and awaiting a surprise challenger – the moment was a fun, viral sensation.
Continuing his momentum since, Hendry has frequently appeared on NXT with his amusing gimmick of being able to magically appear anytime someone says his name has come in handy for crossover continuity.
Already integrating into WWE programming, Hendry seems like a very likely future signing with the company in the near future.

8. Mike Santana

One potential WWE signing who has not been under contract with WWE in the past would be standout Mike Santana.
Totally reinventing himself since his time in AEW, Santana has risen to the top of the card in TNA Wrestling.
Currently set to face off against Trick Williams to attempt to reclaim the TNA Wrestling Championship on behalf of the brand – after it has been held by Trick for over 125 days – Santana seems poised to become the new top babyface of TNA upon the departure of Joe Hendry.
It would seem that sooner rather than later, Mike Santana may find his way to the WWE main roster – possibly circumventing NXT entirely.

7. Matt & Jeff Hardy

WWE legends Matt and Jeff Hardy remain contracted with TNA Wrestling at the time of writing – however, according to the duo themselves, their time could be up soon.
With their current contracts with TNA Wrestling previously revealed to be ending in November 2025, the next steps for the Hardy Boyz aren’t fully known.
However, after their recent appearance in the crowd at SummerSlam 2025 to attend the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match that the duo made famous, signs may be pointing that the pair could be returning to WWE.
Beloved fan favorites, it could be that Matt and Jeff Hardy join the WWE roster for a farewell style retirement tour just as their other massive nostalgia draw in John Cena leaves in-ring competition.

6. Matt Cardona

A much anticipated return to WWE TV already occurred when a group of TNA Wrestling stars ‘invaded’ NXT. Perhaps most notably, self professed Indie God and King of the Deathmatch, Matt Cardona.
Cardona was contracted with WWE – albeit as his former ring name Zack Ryder – for fifteen years before being released in April 2020.
Having gone on to gain acclaim throughout independent wrestling and a few matches in AEW, he has appeared frequently in GCW & TNA Wrestling – his reappearance in WWE is still exciting for longtime fans.
Potentially headed for a further storyline with NXT, his real-life wife Chelsea Green has been recently appearing alongside Ethan Page, which could be one intriguing route to take.

5. Steve Maclin

One star that popped up as a part of the recent TNA Wrestling invasion angle was former TNA Wrestling World Champion, Steve Maclin.
Able to add a veteran presence to the locker room – both in terms of length of wrestling career but also United States military service – could be a benefit.
Potentially able to have an intriguing presentation in WWE that focuses on the positive aspects of patriotism rather than the somewhat comical version as adopted by American Made, Maclin could be a unique main roster character.
Recently launching a podcast with his wife Deonna Purrazzo – an AEW star in her own right – about professional wrestling after military service, the increased eyes on Maclin could pave the way for a new opportunity in WWE.

4. The IInspiration
![]()
Former WWE tag team The IIconics have returned to in-ring action, under their alternate moniker The IInspiration and taken TNA Wrestling by storm.
Having taken some time away from in-ring competition to start families, Jess McKay and Cassie Lee are very much back in action as the most glamourous and hilarious tag team.
Appearing recently on NXT after the invasion of a handful of TNA stars which also included Matt Cardona, Cedric Alexander, Eric Young, Xia Brookside, Léi Ying Lee, Steve Maclin and more.
Bringing veteran in-ring skills along with well-defined fan favorite characters, it wouldn’t be a stretch to see this duo back in WWE in the future.

3. Xia Brookside

A potential future signing from TNA Wrestling that isn’t as familiar to WWE fans as others is Xia Brookside.
With past experience in both STARDOM and WWE NXT UK, perhaps a future signing isn’t far off with WWE’s continued focus on global expansion.
While she continues in the hunt for the TNA Knockouts Championship, she continues to be close but not quite there yet.
Definitely able to fit right in on NXT, hopefully Brookside is selected for Team TNA for the upcoming special edition of NXT titled Invasion that will host one men’s and one women’s TNA vs. NXT five-on-five matches.

2. Indi Hartwell

One former WWE star that hopefully will make her way back to the company in the future is Indi Hartwell.
After being released from WWE back in November 2024 after nearly five years with the company, she didn’t waste any time moving forward in her career.
Clearly competing with new resolve, Hartwell has had nothing but generally positive things to say about her time in WWE and could easily become the next star to make frequent crossovers.
Hartwell will face off against current TNA Knockouts Champion, NXT star Kelani Jordan at the upcoming TNA Wrestling pay-per-view Bound for Glory.

1. AJ Francis

One former WWE star that was absent from the recent invasion angle was AJ Francis.
While known as Top Dolla during his time in WWE, Francis has returned to NXT in recent memory but just isn’t a member of this specific invasion angle – yet.
Potentially being reserved to be named on Team TNA for the upcoming special edition of NXT titled Invasion where there will be two Survivor Series-style matches on the card.
With both NXT GM Ava and TNA Wrestling Director of Authority Santino Marella set to appear on the September 30 edition of NXT to select their teams, there will be 5 women and 5 men from TNA set for battle on behalf of their brand.
