With WrestleMania 42 quickly approaching, the feud between WWE Raw stars CM Punk and Roman Reigns is reaching new heights.
With escalating tensions between the two, there may be the perfect spot for another big WWE name to join the drama by being appointed special referee for the main event match.
Here are six potential special referees for CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 42.

While Bron Breakker was taken out of action by a masked man ahead of his Royal Rumble 2026 appearance, he has been out with injury since.
However, with reports that Breakker is poised to make a return to the NXT Performance Center in the near future to begin the process to potentially be cleared for an in-ring return — there could be something exciting coming from Breakker.
Certainly with his own bone to pick with both CM Punk and Roman Reigns, Bron Breakker as the interloper in the bout to be a special guest referee could lead to a fascinating run-in.
With Seth Rollins intent on revenge against Breakker, his actions could invariably help either of his two mortal enemies CM Punk and Roman Reigns to capture victory — The Visionary would have an incredible story to tell without competing in Las Vegas.
5. LA Knight
Amid tensions rising in the uneasy alliance between The Usos and LA Knight on WWE Raw, Knight remains without a match at WrestleMania 42.
While he seemingly looked to assist The Usos capture a win over Logan Paul and Austin Theory on the March 23 edition of WWE Raw, things would end up going awry.
After the loss, Jey was irritated with LA Knight who countered that the popular star was behaving like Roman Reigns, ramping up the tension even more.
Giving Knight a marquee role in the absence of his own match, Knight could end up playing a pivotal role in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
4. Seth Rollins
Perhaps the most logical choice for a potential special referee for the CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns main event may be Seth Rollins.
With Rollins being forced to vacate his title after being taken out of action due to injury ,Rollins never technically lost the top prize on WWE Raw.
Bringing together his hatred for both CM Punk and Roman Reigns, Rollins serving as the guest referee could lead to some fascinating dynamics throughout the match.
Without wanting to help either one to win, Rollins could end up having a heavy hand in deciding the victor and more importantly, who he may face in a future title shot.

One perfect special guest referee for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match could be Jey Uso.

Still unseen since his pivotal appearance at last year’s Elimination Chamber event, there is certainly a legacy of The Rock making a big appearance at a pivotal point in a storyline.
Potentially arriving under the guise of being squarely in favor of Roman Reigns in his officiating, instead there could be a swerve.
Setting the stage for a battle between Rock and Reigns at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia — seeds could be planted now that take the entire year to bloom.
