Roman Reigns WWE Return Plans

With Roman Reigns set to make a return to WWE at some point in the near future, fans and pundits alike continue to speculate as to how.

From wading into the current Survivor Series WarGames drama to something else entirely, Roman Reigns could be getting up to some interesting activities when he does make his return to WWE TV.

Here are five potential return plans for Roman Reigns in WWE.

5. Starts A New Faction

Although Roman Reigns’ successes in WWE have been largely in singles competition, he has also featured in multiple top billed stables including The Shield and The Bloodline.

While there are a handful of WWE stars that are seemingly poised to join the main roster or to get a major storyline — it hasn’t yet come to pass.

However, if Roman Reigns were to return with his own new collection of stablemates to challenge The Vision — completely separate from his existing Bloodline allies — there could be a powerful new group that no one could quite predict.

Able to bring in the likes of Austin Theory, Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo or even younger talent like Je’Von Evans or Uriah Connors — Reigns could bring together his own new next generation faction to battle Paul Heyman and The Vision.

4. Joins The Vision

While Seth Rollins was taken out of action due to injury in real life, in the WWE storyline he was sidelined after a brutal attack by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Bringing Paul Heyman along for the ride, it could be that the ever conniving and plotting Heyman would not be content to simply be at the wills of the unpredictable Brons and rather would look to take over the situation.

If in a last ditch effort to continue to maintain control over Breakker and the faction, Heyman ended up calling in not only Brock Lesnar to join the heel team but also convincing Reigns to link up with them — there could be a spectacular flip during the match.

Crossing Heyman and the heels in order to flip back to team babyface, in the end Roman could reveal himself a member of the all-star line up of CM Punk, John Cena, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes and possibly LA Knight.

3. Surprise Return At WarGames

Never ones to let a reliable trope go without a fight, WWE has a simple explanation for why Roman Reigns would end up choosing to join the babyface WarGames team — the other babyfaces needed him.

With Roman potentially looking to kick-off a redemption arc even in the absence of the dastardly Seth Rollins to serve as his foe — Reigns could end up pulling through for the other babyfaces albeit at the last minute.

Since it does seem as though the WarGames entrants could be shaping up to host an Avengers style case of WWE’s top names, there is also the unspoken character motivation for the deeply self-involved Reigns to not want to be left out.

With his narcissism disguised as altruism, Reigns could end up yielding a lot of power in the anticipation of whether he will or will not show up for the team — an self-created chaos that is of course, solved by him.

2. Abducted By The Wyatt Sicks

As long as the Wyatt Sicks lurks the halls of WWE, there will remain a hit list of some of the biggest familial betrayers who could be their target.

One massive one is the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns who is seemingly en route to a more babyface presentation now — only after years of treating those around him questionably.

Similarly to how real life events could shatter a person’s sense of safety and seek refuge in their nearest and dearest — it could be an abduction by the Wyatt Sicks that leads Roman Reigns back to the Bloodline.

Since Solo Sikoa and the MFTs are currently feuding with the Sicks, it might admittedly make more sense to see then snag Solo first.

1. Exhibition At Saturday Night’s Main Event

One legendary way for Roman Reigns to return to action in WWE would be to swerve Survivor Series WarGames altogether and not be seen again until December 13.

Keeping in line with Reigns’ comment to the Usos after his loss at Crown Jewel against Bronson Reed about not wanting to see them until Christmas — maybe Reigns really won’t be back until December.

Potentially appearing as one of the opponents from the main roster for an NXT opponent, Roman Reigns could end up having a star making match against one of NXT’s brightest stars.

With the likes of Je’Von Evans, Ricky Saints, Joe Hendry, Trick Williams and more being potential contenders to face off against Reigns for this exhibition — it could be the best use of the return of Roman Reigns.
